Sunday Boodle Fight and A Visit From "Putol"
No:60-08
September 18,2022
It's my eldest sister 18th wedding anniversary last September 16 and my grandma's 10th death anniversary today. We celebrated it by having a boodle fight. 18 years seems so long but nowadays time is so fast you won't even notice it.
Boodle Fight or Kamayan is a military practice of eating a meal without any cutlery. Also known as the traditional Filipino method of eating with the barehands. It is also used to describe the Filipino communal feast where food is served on banana leaves and eaten kamayan style or without utensils. -Wikipedia.
During the pandemic all the occasions in our family was celebrated via boodle fight. Less expensive , safe and you can enjoy the sumptuos meal all you can. Today we had crispy ulo, grilled liempo , fried tilapia, grilled hotdog , steam okra and ice cream for dessert.
We consumed it so quick as oppose to it's preparation that took quite so long, lol! Mga diet kuno , hahaha! Well , it's Sunday and it's cheat day, 4,000 steps after, lol!
Visiting Lola
We went to the cemetery to bring flowers and light a candle for our grandma's 10th year in heaven. We offer a little prayer coz we are in a hurry coz the rain is starting to drizzle. I wonder what our "Lola" is doing right now in heaven. Is she having a cup of her favorite coffee or is she a young angel there coz it was only 10 years since she was gone.
Do you ever imagine what our dead loved ones doing in heaven too? If they see us from above? Or is it true that they still wander around after quite some time of their demise? Anyway, i miss my grandma and my mom too.
My son's visitor
My Mateo had a visitor this morning and it was his "Pare" Michael or Putol. As he promised two weeks ago that he's going to visit my son when he went to the farm where his biological father is working. Look at the young boy now , his eyes are bright as his smile and he's looking well and good. You can see that he is happy with his life after he was adopted by Sir Gerry.
My son is glad seeing him and he immediately went to our room to get his "pogs" so they could play . They talked and play pogs and after , my son gave half of his pogs to him so he could play some more when he goes back to Pampanga.
My son had a great day today seeing and playing with his buddy.
It was a great day too for all of us. That's how we Spent our Sunday today. Thankful from the Highest for a blessed day.
Thank you once again for your time. To all my sponsors "Salamat ng marami" and may God bless you all more.
All images are all mine.
