Climate changes, but does our hearts change?

The climate is very bad. Very disastrous climate changes continue to occur. Things I don't remember seeing before in my life, like hurricane winds, are coming more frequently.

I heard from my family in the country that yesterday the hurricane winds came through with great force, demonstrating nature's own power, it rained very hard.  The storm is electrical, with lightning, thunder, rain and winds that lashed out with all their might, trees were knocked down, lighting poles were thrown down, electricity was cut off, and there was no need to cut off the water because it arrives every 15 days through the pipes.

The roofs of the houses were blown off, the heavy rain penetrated the roofless houses and destroyed the few belongings of some of the most vulnerable people. They woke up with no water, no light, no roof and flooded, if they could sleep at all with such a mess at an unexpected time.

Here in my region, near the coast, the sea was rough. It made waves up to a meter high. It threw the small boats out of the water. Those who did not take precautions before the tropical storm announcement were left with a bitter taste of having to look for their small wrecked boats beyond their usual resting place.

Very close to the headwaters of the river, the towns were flooded. The river rose again. The road became impenetrable for public transport. It’s necessary to wait for the water flow to decrease.

On the other side, near the national road that leads to the highway, where many rural populations are located, they weren’t spared from the strong storm either.

A friend from the countryside told us that he placed himself on the roof of his house to prevent the strong wind from taking his roof and it almost took him with it. The roofs of his neighbors were blown away and the people, apart from recently suffering from floods that left them without their crops, now find themselves without a roof, taken by the strong winds.

All the people say the same thing... They have never before seen such a destructive force in the places where they live.

I like the rain when it’s calm, when it brings color to my plants, when it cleans the environment and makes it more refreshing to the eye, but nowadays when it rains I don't know whether to be content or to pray for all of us.

The changes in the environment are coming so fast and we are doing nothing to prevent it, nothing for the environment and nothing with our heart.

We are moving further and further away from God. These things that are happening should make us think that everything is written in this book that many refuse to read.

More and more difficult times will come for us, we must open our hearts to God. Perhaps it is not too late for us and we can ask for forgiveness for being so unbelieving.

Perhaps we can ask God to give us a new heart like his. Maybe it’s time to renew our faith and instead of being so materialistic let us be more humble of heart.

It may be possible that we don’t see that everything is foretold. That everything can be explained scientifically with the climatic changes but that everything was already written in the bible many years ago, before all this disaster.

There is a phrase that goes like this, “When in war, forewarned, the soldier does not die” Is it possible that we, having this document that tells us what we are going to suffer gradually, still dare to doubt it? Can it be that we don’t see the warnings in the sky, in the sea, on earth?

I think that soldiers do die in a warned war, but because these things happen to us and we are no longer devoted to God, and instead we are more devoted to the things of the world.

I respect the opinion of the unbelievers, of those who do not believe in this God who gives me life, but I cannot help but express my opinion on the matter. If you believe it, that's fine, and if you don't, that's your right.
