"The most important meal of the day"
I'm just sharing our simple and healthy meal for breakfast. In my cover photo you will see a simple breakfast I made and that's cost only $0.7 for me and my 3 kids. To all Filipino out there, you are so familiar with this meal and that is our common breakfast. As a Filipino, I can't work without rice, most of us Filipino, right? Oh wait, in that simple breakfast you can find more nutrients with a very affordable meal. Rice with okra and tinapa with a cup of coffee.
Expert said that the best time to eat breakfast is during lunch time. But I don't follow that, I eat rice even breakfast, I can't work without eating rice. Why? simply because I need that, it strengthen my body for a couple of hours. Rice contains carbohydrates and protein with zero sugar, and it's perfect for me. How about okra? First of all here is one thing I wanna share about okra, it's biologically a fruit and vegetable in cooking. And it's good because of low calories and have some proteins. It also has a vitamin C that contributes immune function. How about tinapa? Tinapa is a Filipino word, it is a preserved fish and it's called smoked fish in English term. It has also Omega 3 fatty Acids but eating too much of this must be avoided.
So, don't skip your breakfast, it help us a lot. Don't let your body get a high risk of higher blood cholesterol levels.
I can't start my day also without rice, I'm not consuming much smoked fish, not so familiar but okra is my favorite dish also with tomato and soy sauce.
