Imagine uncensorable apps running on-chain on #BitcoinCash!

  • marketplaces

  • P2P exchanges (like localbitcoins)

  • blogs no tyrant can silence

  • social networks Big Tech can't silence (unlike #Parler)

That's what Shomari Prince @nyusternie and I are building for the Bitcoin Unlimited CoinParty hackathon!

How it Works

Using the Bitcoin Files Protocol (BFP) and a new markup language called Bitcoin Markup Language (BML), application developers can now HOST & DELIVER their HTML, JavaScript and CSS directly from the Bitcoin BCH blockchain. BFP offers a censorship-resistant experience similar to BitTorrent, but unlike BT (and even TOR for that matter), it doesn't require files to be hosted ANYWHERE.

This all makes Bitcoin Apps impossible to shut down. So long as the Bitcoin BCH blockchain exists, these applications will be served to ANY compatible client, FOREVER.

There's one problem with IFPS, someone needs to host the files and ensure they stay always hosted, and you can't use cloud servers for this... Every IFPS service I saw had some sort of big down-time... (I didn't use a lot of them though...)

I have looked in FAQ's.

Uncensorable Web makes use of IPFS, particularly for large data files that are at a lower risk of censorship, e.g., software libraries such as jQuery, which is used by millions of web apps.

IPFS is a good solution. Not everything is stored in the chain.
