Salted egg is one of the most popular food in bulacan. There are many poultry of ducks thats why they produce lots of salted egg. My family sell salted egg before but when bird flu comes our ducks died.Why ducks egg is using in making salted egg its because the shell of the ducks egg was thick. Chicken egg is not applicable to use because the shell is thin.
Ducks egg are often used in making salted egg. We used the traditional way on making salteg egg by covering the eggs in a salty paste.We need to wait until the egg preserve at 16-18 days depends on how many salt do you put in mud.And it could be one of the reasons why there are more and more inferior quality salted being sold out there..
Then after 18 days the eggs will be ready to cook. You need to boil the eggs for about 6-8 hours to ensure that the egg white and egg yolk was cooked.A good salted egg has a bright yellow yolk in the middle that is oozing with thick yellow liquid.

Yes, you will need to reboil the salt and water if you want to use the solution again.
another question is Why is salted chicken egg not commercialized like salted duck egg?
From my own opinion,the salted egg store long time also comparing chicken to duck egg the duck eggs have bigger yolks than chicken thats why salted ducks egg was more commercialize than chicken salted eggs.
Can i directly boil ducks egg with the salty solution?
if you boil the duck eggs in the salty solution, the process will only cook the eggs but not make them salty.
