Do you guys remember the exciting times when Oasis NFT Marketplace was launched on SmartBCH? Live Auctions Channel notifications would drive us mad as everyone was happily buying and selling NFTs. New NFT projects were popping up like mushrooms after the rain. Those of us who minted LawPunks back in the Autumn of 2021 only ever regretted one thing – not minting more! We all looked for that next gem, even if disguised behind not so pretty punk faces. Whether we found it or not it’s a matter of personal opinion I guess, but we sure had lots of fun trying!

SmartBCH will always be my first love. We all know we never forget that first love. I hope one day we might experience these emotions again on SmartBCH, but for the time being it is happening all-over again on #dogechain!

In fact, I got so overly excited buying GAYC NFT’s yesterday that I spent my very last doge on them without realising it. I was trying to buy another pretty monkey and kept getting a weird error. That’s how I realised I was out of doge! I couldn’t put anything up for sale, swap any tokens or even harvest from farms. I was stuck! Luckily @Fexonice1 came with a helping hand and saved me from the misery of not being able to do anything on dogechain ;)

In my previous article I mentioned that ‘Something new is brewing…’. Oasis NFT Marketplace on dogechain is sure one of the new and exciting developments.  When Jay asked me to help him moderate Oasis TG channel I didn’t hesitate to say ‘YES’. The timing was perfect, as I adjusted to my new working life and decided I need some excitement in my life. Being a part of a great team sure brings exactly that.

Dogechchain EVM only launched last month and that’s what everyone is currently talking about in crypto space. In the middle of crypto winter the amount of transactions on this new chain is skyrocketing. Oasis Marketplace launched on Saturday, 27th of August. By Tuesday, 30th of August, the volume was already almost 2mln doge (around $120 000)! Needless to say, a lot is going on!

How does it work?

Using Oasis Marketplace is easy as 1, 2, 3…

1. Head over to the website

I’m sure this doesn’t need to be explained, but just in case you don’t know… If you’re using Metamask mobile wallet, simply open the browser within the app and type: https://oasis-nft.dog. If you’re using your PC/Laptop, open the browser where your MM plugin is installed and type the above address.

2. Connect your Metamask wallet

Whichever way you use, once you reach the Oasis website above, the button will show up, asking you to connect your wallet.

Make sure your wallet is setup for Dogechain:

If you have used offical DC bridge https://bridge.dogechain.dog/bridge there is a button to add dogechain network automatically to you Metamask, so that’s one less step to worry about.

Once your wallet is connected, you can browse all your NFT’s here. If you purchased NFT’s that are not yet whitelisted on Oasis, you can still see them in your wallet by adding the contract address of the collection.

After completing this step, you will also be able to see all the listings, bids and sales in that collection.

In a similar fashion, you can view any NFT on dogechain, by following this simple formula:

3. List/buy your NFT’s

If this is the first time you’re using NFT Marketplace, head over to FAQ section at the very bottom of the page. You can also find direct links to all social media places like TG, Twitter, Read.cash.

As the name suggests, you will be able to find the answers to the most frequently asked questions here.

One thing worth mentioning is that the process of buying/selling on Oasis is fully automated. In the first days after Oasis launch we had a few people asking why hasn’t Doge arrived in their wallet after selling their NFT. At this moment in time there is no way to track the internal transactions, which made some people confused. Although you won’t see Doge arriving in your wallet when using transaction scanner, rest assured that as soon as the person buying your NFT confirms their transaction, the amount of Doge minus 2.5% fee is automatically sent to your wallet in the same transaction. There is no way that the Doge didn’t arrive in your wallet. That’s how the contract works.

Navigating through Oasis website is very intuitive. Menu in the top left corner of the screen will take you wherever you need to go.

By pressing Oasis logo (quite neat one I might add) you will go directly to the main page where you can see all market activities with the newest listings/bids/sells from all whitelisted collections.

Right below you will find your wallet, where you can check all the NFTs you currently hold. To sell an NFT, you have to press on its picture to open a more detailed view:

Here you can also transfer your NFT to another wallet if you wish. To list it for sale, press ‘Sell’ button and fill up this simple form, then press ‘List Asset’ at the bottom and accept the transaction that will pop up.

That’s it! Your NFT is now listed on the marketplace. Hopefully it will find a buyer in no time. After listing your first NFT, a purple icon will appear in the menu. This is where you can see/edit/cancel your running auctions.

If your NFT haven’t sold in the time you specified when filling the form, another icon will show up in the menu, where you can cancel all your unsold auctions.

Finally, the bottom icon of the menu is where you can browse all NFT’s by collection. By default only whitelisted collections will show up here, but if you added ca of a not whitelisted collection in your wallet, you will be able to view them here as well.

Oasis Live TG channel

If you want to be up to date with all the newest listings and see how much are NFT’s selling for head over to Oasis Live Auctions channel.

Bear in mind that only whitelisted collections are added to this channel. Currently you can see:

Real Doge Punks - one of the first and most popular collections on Dogechain.

Doge Punks - launched, minted, rugged and revived by dogchain community!

That was easy 2x

Rats CryptoR.AT Nightmare Edition - a well known Rats collection, reaching back to SLP times, now with additional 1000 pieces that minted in a few hours.

My first sale on Oasis! Minted for 55 Doge

And their 2000 traits:

Council of frogs - another great project by the same team.

DAYC - a well known and loved monkeys from SmartBCH. Somehow I’m always late for their mints 🙈

Doge Shibes - a whooping 25 000 pieces of this collection already fully minted at 69 doge per piece.

And of course .doge domains, one of Kasumi’s new projects on dogchain:

2.5% fee on every sale

Selling anything below mint price is a no no for me. However, there might be good reasons for why people do it. Some might have sold a few NFTs for a great price and therefore don’t mind loosing a bit on the remaining NFTs. Some might urgently need money for another promising mint.

Very often I see the NFTs listed at the exact mint price though. It makes me wonder if people understand how does 2.5% fee work. They might think that they’re getting their capital back, but that’s not exactly true.

Let’s say you minted an NFT for 100 Doge. Then you list it on Oasis for 100 Doge. What appears in your wallet after the sale is completed is actually 97.5 Doge, because 2.5 Doge is the fee automatically deducted from the sale price of your NFT. Of course at the current price of DOGE of around $0.06, that amounts to only $0.15, but with more expensive collections and the future royalties update you will start noticing the difference.

If your aim is to get back your capital, you should always add 2.5% to the listing price on top of what you actually want to get for your NFT. When royalties became available you would add approximately additional 4-5% (depending on the collection) to that price.

Whitelisting your collection

Are you planning to launch your own collection on dogechain? You are welcome in our TG Channel where you can introduce your new collection with links to minting website and your TG/Discord groups. We and our community are eager to hear about new projects. Make sure you don’t overdo it though. Multiple mindless shills about the same projects will be deleted.
In one of the future updates Oasis will introduce its own Launchpad, which will make launching your collection even easier.

If your collection has already been launched and you would like to get it whitelisted on Oasis, in our TG channel you will find pinned messages at the top. #1 and #5 will give you all the info you need to do this.

In just a few weeks since Dogechain launched we have already seen many scams. With that in mind, additional conditions have been introduced to lower the risk of sketchy collections being whitelisted on Oasis. Pinned message #5 will explain those conditions. Jay and the team are still working on perfecting and automating this process to keep the investors safe as well as give new collections a fair chance to be seen. Make sure to head over to Oasis TG for all the future updates.

That’s it for today. In the next couple of articles I will talk more about some of the most exciting collections on dogechain.

As usual - please always remember to DYOR before aping into any new project. Nothing in this or any of my articles should be considered as a financial advice.

Until next time 💙

Ate smartBCH NFT can be bridged there? Or automatically seen in that chain?

No sis. Right now only Council of Frogs can be bridged. No other project owner made it possible to bridge. Maybe others will follow, but most are dead anyway 🙈

Yeah, many people left or took break from crypto in the bear market. It’s been tough year for crypto. Even here I don’t get to see as many people writing as last year.
