Does Blogging replaces Day Job
A lot of people are asking me about Hive and Read.cash. Most of them on the discord have this question of whether a crypto blog and the content writing sites replace the job income?
I wish it was possible for the crypto blogging to replace job. In reality that is not the case. In fact what we experience with the crypto blogging is entirely different.
In this post, I wish to explain you why that is the case and how that is something we have to view in order to understand income and blogging.
What I am about to share applies to average bloggers who are having the followers under 500. And they get less tips and the less bot support and also they get less influences from the other people.
So let's share some of the facts for the average people.
Earning 0.19 BCH on Noise and 0.09BCH on Read
That was my last month's stats. Imagine if you have like 22$ USD and 10$ USD combined each month, does that pay your bills? If it were 2019, it would have been some help to the monthly errands.
But even being in Asia and post pandemic world where this amount would not even pay the grocery for the money. It becomes really hard to rely on this type of the earning for any serious home support through blogging.
Which means it becomes a hobby income.
Writing in Advanced, Save as Draft
If you choose to post every 2 days and alternate days to be specific. You would have to write in advance because you can't bring imagination working on the same day when you wish to publish.
Many people here left the platform because they could not match up everyday or even 2 days gap speed. I find it hard too. So I write in advanced and save them as a draft. Find that balance.
Writing in advanced and saving in draft saved you time later.
Income Assurance
There are some pro-writers on read.cash and the noise.cash who are earning some consistent income. They are the one getting the assured income with the help of the followers and the influence.
If you don't have like 500 followers or above, there does not seem to be a way for you to find that monthly income assurance. Having some assurance of income always helps out.
But writing online is always supplement unless you are popular, influencer or someone a lot of followers can relate to with their experience.
Writing online MAY not be a Job
For 99% of the peopel, it is not going to be replacing the day job. In fact if you are among those who are leaving the job for the writing. I feel make sure to earn 3 year worth of the income out of writing by doing it side way.
Once you earn enough, you can leave that job and then make sure to do the online writing on a side. That is one of the way you can handle this situation lot easier.
What do you think?
I personally feel the writing is kind of side income and hobby income. Very few can make it to the top and very few can do this for decade of sustainable time.
What's your opinion?
Ya there is no way I could quit my two jobs and be supported here even if I had 1000 subscribers. Even the good ones make no where near what I make. I'm not here to make anything though I just like reading and improving my writing skills. I wouldn't recommend someone to come here just to look for a new career or job replacement. I'm sure some do create income that would be better than a day job that is available to them.
