As our society evolves, everything develops too. From transportation, clothing, and the way of living through new technologies. And recently, I'm enjoying one of those changes that's truly an incredible innovation, the digital or cashless transactions.
I'm an eleven-month-old user of read.cash and to be honest, read.cash shares a great contribution in my life today. Through this platform, I can know and met cryptocurrencies particularly my most favorite coin, the Bitcoin Cash. And in eleven months of writing here, my life was changed slowly in an extraordinary way.
In real life before I met read.cash, I am a penniless jobless woman left at home. I am holding some funds as I budget my husband's salary, but then I still can't call it “mine” and that makes me cashless. All the expenses were handled by my partner and life was tough years ago.
Having a family is hard especially when both of you aren't financially stable, so my best advice to the single people out there, save money and plan for your future before planning to build and start a family. 😅
But eleven months ago, a stroke of great luck hit me big time as I saw a link on Facebook linking to this site, read.cash. Then I never thought it'll be a start of a beautiful journey.
By thinking about how I can help my dear spouse, I started to sell my Bitcoin cash earned from the platform as mobile loads. And I'm almost 10 months mobile load retailer here in my locality. At first, I am only using my read.cash earnings in funding my little business, but then as I explored more on how to use it well here in my place, I found out that I could use it by purchasing products online.
Here in the Philippines, probably, only a few merchants are accepting Bitcoin Cash as payments, so to use some of the BCH I have to convert it first to our local currency. But this only proves that Bitcoin Cash is real money.

Even before, we're avid Shopee users, and honestly, my husband was the first to purchase on the said online shop. He introduced Shopee to me and he's the one who's fond to buy online. But last year, he introduced Shopee pay to me, and from that day on, I became a certified ShopeePay user.
What is ShopeePay?
This is an official in-app wallet of Shopee that allows users to top-up for convenience. And for me, this payment alternative is very helpful. I always top-up my ShopeePay wallet through coins.ph where some of my BCH are kept.
For some of my Pinoy Friends who want to use ShopeePay, here are the steps on how to top up your ShopeePay via Coins.ph
First, open your Shopee app and click the tab being encircled in the photo. That's your ShopeePay Wallet.
Then click top-up, after that several amounts will show but you can input how much you want or how much you needed for purchase to top up in your ShopeePay wallet but it must be not lower than P10.
On the lower button, there's a payment option and as I am using my BCH to top up, I'm using e-wallet Coins.ph. But then, before that, I need to convert some BCH into Peso first. Aside from Coins.ph, GCash option is available too.
Then after clicking “Pay Now” it will ask for your email used in Coins. ph then it will ask you to log in to your Coins.ph account. But don't worry, they will send you via text or email an authentication number not once but twice!
The first is to confirm whether it's the real you who logged in into your coins.ph account and the second is to confirm your attempt at sending funds.
After a successful top-up from coins, the amount will reflect real-time. Now you can start purchasing items and pay them via ShopeePay and enjoy limited and exclusive discounts/vouchers for ShopeePay users!
This is how I enjoy cashless transactions with the help of my Bitcoin Cash. Cashless means I will not be needing cash on hand just to pay for my items. As they're already paid via ShopeePay, I will just wait for my items to arrived and take satisfaction in them.
But what if the item was damaged or incomplete or it was a wrong item delivered?
Don't worry! ShopeePay users are guaranteed of return/refund as per Shopee!
Based on my experience, I had received the wrong item before, since I paid for it via ShopeePay, my request for a refund was approved easily. After the approval, my payment was sent immediately.
I have purchased several items already through ShopeePay, the items were commonly for the whole family and especially for the kids. I never stand in line again in the supermarkets or malls, so it's very beneficial for a country mom like me!
Never did I imagine I could cherish these things today. I never thought I could purchase some needs of the family with my “own” money.
They say, when women started to be financially independent, it'll be scarier. Though I can't call myself a completely financially stable woman, for me, it still depends on the woman itself. So, I am eager to save and acquire more BCH just to help my dear loving husband in supporting our family. As they're the main reason why I strive.
Doing cashless transactions is indeed satisfying, what more if we can use directly our BCH?
Well, I hope one day our country will welcome cryptocurrencies more and will start to accept some as payment options. It would be very convenient if ever. As of today, I am just enjoying the privileges I could have recognized with the help of BCH.
This is just one of the best options I could see to use and utilize some of my Bitcoin Cash. I want Bitcoin Cash to be a part of my growth as an individual and I want it to be a part of my family’s comfort too.
I am just gratified to enjoy these things today, within a few weeks I'll be a year old user of the platform, and I can say I am and my life has changed so much in that one year being in the community.
