@emily2u

What a surprise to receive a new sponsor! Thank you so much @scottcbusiness for your support in my journey on read.cash!

@emily2u

Already super hectic and now I have to watch this 'Squid Game' to understand how it goes to propose trend jack directions for my team! Arghhh mind not there... I used to think how fun it is to get paid to watch shows or listen to music, like entertainment reviewers or writers.. hehehe.... not when you need to "produce" something from that entertainment. Sigh!!!!

@emily2u

The trek to and from Milarepa Cave, also known as Naljor Fuk Cave, deep in the jungle of Nepal by the Manaslu mountain range was an arduous undertaking. Yet, it is like a daily affair for the locals, who also had to carry extremely heavy loads on their shoulders. This seems to be the task for womenfolk.

@emily2u

Two motorbikes crashed in front of my house ten minutes ago. I didn't capture the accident in case someone died and that would be bad taste. I've lived here my whole life and we have witnessed at least 20 accidents, mostly because people don't stop at the junction even with the large STOP sign, whether car or motorbike. There were even cases of motorbikes taking the corner too fast and ride into the drain. 😰

@emily2u

It was a rainy morning when we went to Vinpearl Land Nha Trang in Vietnam. Normally, I don't like to be outdoors in that weather but we had no choice as we already procured our tickets, with cable car rides as well. It wasn't cheap, so we were forced to proceed. This theme park is massive, and as you can see, construction was still ongoing to expand the park to include more attractions. This is not merely a theme park but it's all-inclusive, with hotel accommodation, dining,…

@emily2u

I did not receive a notification on this, but thank you so much @immaryandmerry for renewing your sponsorship and upping the bid to grab pole position! Much blessings to you always! I heart you!!!

@emily2u

My molar broke a few days ago, and I am forced to extract it. Made an appointment this afternoon to get it done because I was so afraid that it would break and leave some remnants in my gum and I have to then seek emergency treatment. Earlier, I was actually referred to a specialist in the capital city to see if the tooth could be saved but because of all the restrictions, I wasn't able to go...... OK fine, now I plan to have a tooth implant, even though it's at the back of…

@emily2u

Can my subscribers let me know if my latest article today is being pushed to your notification? I'm aware that you were not alerted of my new article yesterday. I hope it was just a one-off glitch!

@emily2u

Came across this set of photos of the Harley Davidson convoy that I shot during one of their annual national rides. I managed to get these only because I was riding pillion. The funniest thing is that no biker (all were men) wanted to take a male media member 🀣 on their bikes. That's another advantage of being a woman, but no way would I hug a sweaty stranger man from behind. They wish!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@emily2u

Happy Sunday... or Crazy Sunday? Still lots of work to do, but just not in the right frame of mind yet. Spending time here on noise.cash, and then frying chicken for lunch. Hohoho!! I'm pretty impressed by the golden brown color, just frying using the wok.... Looking forward to lunch and then a nap... OOPPS, where is the time for work? SIGH ~

@emily2u

Caught this eagle on the roof of a house today. It was quite far from me, about 3 houses away. Had to zoom the lens of my camera in order to capture it. Can't do this with mobile. Definitely not. Was just chatting with a friend that despite the convenience of mobile phones, it can't replace the computer or camera.

@emily2u

Thank you soooo much @Jane for your continued support and renewing your sponsorship for another month. I am so blessed to enjoy your support and friendship. May you be continuously blessed!

@emily2u

Hahaha who can guess where I was? My friend taught me to pose a few different styles, as though I was a model. Unfortunately, none came out nicely. In my mind, all I could think of was that the weather was tooooo hot to be outdoor photoshooting!!! #throwback

@emily2u

One time, I was invited to this town located in the north of my state (Perak, Malaysia). The name of the town is Selama. You can see from the sign board that there are two towns nearby with the same name but they are in neighboring states, as though there are no other names to use. I was invited by a government official to promote the town and to help develop its tourism sector. Unfortunately, on the day of my arrival, there was an emergency at his home and he had to take…

@emily2u

I was in a moving vehicle when I passed by this cafe in Taipei, Taiwan. Although this is a blurred photo, it tells that Taiwan is a dog-friendly country. I have been to many countries where people can freely take their dogs out, not only for a walk, but on public transports and join the owner for some cafe time, mostly together outside. In Taiwan, however, I saw two occasions where the dogs were indoors. I am so envious of this freedom, as Malaysia is a Muslim country and…

@emily2u

If only this castle in Vinpearl Land Nha Trang is mine. Hohoho... one can only dream! In the meantime, I gaze at it from afar, while I slog like a bull. No one seems to understand how busy I am. My boss keeps saying to top up my pay. Won't do me good if I'm dead from working extremely long hours! #throwback

@emily2u

A loud shoutout to @zolabundance2 for renewing your sponsorship for another month. I am so humbled to enjoy your support and friendship. Thank you so much, and much blessings to you.

@emily2u

You probably can tell that I have been super busy with my work.. still not done yet, which is why I haven't been able to reply to all your comments in a timely manner. I will get down to it soon, I promise. Meanwhile, here is my #128 on read.cash which is what's been on my mind lately. https://read.cash/@emily2u/not-fighting-for-equality-a8e55997

@emily2u

It's a beach life! That's me lounging around in a hammock on the beach of Pulau Kapas, Terengganu. I may have water phobia but I definitely don't fear the good life of a beach bum. πŸ˜‚ #throwback

@emily2u

I'm so annoyed!!! Bought this https://shp.ee/kqzyqyt. and got sent the two plugs in photo attached. Really waste my time. I'm trying to get a refund without having to send these back because they are too low value to be worth the trouble. It's just gonna waste more of my time to send back, the shipping fee and more time waiting for the delivery of what I have purchased. F@rk!!!

@emily2u

Father sent my car to fit it with new tires. On another note, again, I am so pissed off when I have clients that catch worm into own backside. Wasting my f@rking time!

@emily2u

A million thanks to Big Bro @PVMihalache (not in age haha!) for sponsoring me. What a surprise and an honor to receive this support!

@emily2u

It's funny how I tell my friend that I am so pressured from my day job, but my day job is actually my morning job and my night job. As it is, it's past 10.30pm already and I am still not done with my work. I am thinking of rolling some to tomorrow, because I still haven't written my poem for Pub0x and my article for read.cash. And seriously, I need sleep but looks like it's not gonna happen within the next two hours. 😒

@emily2u

Today is the first day of the Nine Emperor Gods 9-day festival. It's a major Taoist religious event where many devotees observe a vegetarian diet and lead a "pure" life, without drinking, smoking and s3x. Many rituals are conducted over this period of time, and one of the main ones is this where devotees are required to cross the long stretch of charcoal embers. I took this photo some years ago. The man lying on it was in a trance. The Nine Emperor Gods Festival is…

@emily2u

Thailand is famous for its street food. I was in Hat Yai one time and was surprised to see an entire pig being roasted at this street stall. This will never happen in Malaysia. We do have roast pork being sold, but definitely not the preparation of it in public, or a busy street! Hahaha

@emily2u

3m and 5m long USB cables have arrived cos my dad says that those cables that came with our mini cameras are too short, thus are unable to mount them to where he wants. Well, father asks, father gets. Except that he wanted black but they are like 80% more expensive. Well, let's make do with white, then.

@emily2u

Which is your favorite seat position? For short flights, I would book the window seat, or try to swap with the window seat passenger but for long flights, I would take the aisle seat and let someone else climb over me, rather than the reverse. There was once when I was in an aircraft that had 5 seats in the middle... I got the aisle seat, thankfully, and did not envy the guy in the middle with two passengers on his left and two others on his right. And that was a 12-hour…

@emily2u

Sometime ago, I visited the zoo in Melaka with my friend. We spent a lot of time photographing the animals, but still, there wasn't enough time as we had to head back to the hotel for lunch. We just managed to be at the hotel ten minutes before they closed the restaurant. That's the price to pay for being unable to wake up for the zoo. πŸ˜‚

@emily2u

Came across this on Facebook this morning. hahaha those were the days when we played Zynga games like Mafia Wars and Farmville... if only there were Play to Earn games back then. We would all be so rich already by now!!

@emily2u

When I was attached to a national daily, my niche was human interest. I enjoyed chatting with people and discovering their talents. This is Baser Ali in Melaka (Malaysia). The left photo shows him with a traditional Melaka house that he crafted by hand. The size of the house is only 4' x 5' x 3'. The right photo is Sarawak's Bidayuh baruk roundhouse that is even smaller. Table-top size.

@emily2u

RedBus sent me MYR20 in my app for nothing. What a surprise.... They are tempting me to travel... but where to? I have no idea. I want money for flights..... wait, I need flight services for tourists. Hahaha!!! Hope it happens soon!

@emily2u

I've still not been to a real desert yet, although the closest to a desert I was at was when in Jordan. I've been to "fake" deserts, though, like the one in Bintan, and this one in Mui Ne, Vietnam. What do you think? Does it look like one to you? Luckily it was not as hot as a real desert. I'm not sure how hot a real one is, but it's just my perception.

@emily2u

My morning is wasted because I have dumb people disturbing me. Hahaha.. but whoever pays the money is KING. This is the reality. Anyway, was thinking about getting an electric bike recently just for the fun of moving around the neighborhood. But because I can't cycle, have forgotten how actually, this should be my goal. I came across so many aunties and uncles in Taiwan riding this type of "bike". I almost bought one and have it shipped home. Hohoho

@emily2u

Was taking my afternoon nap when there were so many messages coming in on my phone that kept pinging me awake. Friends know not to message me in the afternoon... only co-workers and clients didn't get the memo! Anyway, let's look for the beauty in everything, wherever we go.

@emily2u

Hohoho! Those were the days... now, I'm stuck in front of the computer until don't know when! Sit until the backside is also flat! After dinner, after driving, it's now back to the grind till tonight. Zzzzzz!!!

@emily2u

Is publishing on read.cash the last task to do tonight? No, because I still have some things to take care of! This is #132 for your reading pleasure and I'll see you tomorrow.... even though "tomorrow" is just 5 minutes away!! https://read.cash/@emily2u/play-to-relax-7338d380

@emily2u

Good morning, fellow noisers. Here's praying for a peaceful weekend sans clients. Being pressured by them five days a week is more than enough to bear. Can't they just go *poof*? πŸ˜… This cat was photographed in Terengganu during one of my trips. I love shooting animals. What about you?

@emily2u

Mini racing bikes - the first time I saw them being raced by kids during a street tournament, I was so amused. Later, I had the chance to visit a racing academy, where a few kids trained to be bike racers. Have you seen such a small bike before?

@emily2u

My car has problems engaging the reverse gear. Been some months; sometimes it's easy, sometimes difficult. Hope it's just a matter of gearbox oil that's diluted and that this will solve the problem. MYR100 out the window as 4 bottles are required, total 4 liters.

@emily2u

Thank you so much @Bloghound for your generous sponsorship and renewal. It is such a blessing to continue receiving your support. Much blessings to you!

@emily2u

Thank you so much, lovely friend @Pichi28... someone who shares my whacky humor, for your sponsorship renewal. Has it been one month already?? I have lost track of time. Here's wishing you all the best and blessings abundant!

@emily2u

I'm gonna wrap up today with this photo of the view from my hotel window during one of my #throwback vacations. Those were the days! Good night and I promise to reply to all your comments tomorrow. I finally have the day off to do what I love, rather than work!

@emily2u

Good morning, guess who is back? πŸ˜‚ Finally, a day to take care of my Lucky Dog, personal stuff and just hanging, before a new crazy week begins. 😬 Need more days like this. Who else is with me?

@emily2u

Heartiest thanks to @MegaKyodaiBanrai for your sponsorship renewal! Much appreciation and gratefulness for your support, and may you enjoy continued blessings on your BCH journey!

@emily2u

Lone boat out at sea.... that's the vast South China Sea.... for a non-swimmer, it can be scary to be out but I have been out multiple times, and thankfully, no untoward incidents have happened. Touch wood!!!

@emily2u

Thank you so much for sponsorship renewal @TengoLoTodo and welcome back!!! Hope all is well with you.

@emily2u

Fast Indonesian ferry to where? #throwback photo.... just hope I will be able to ride it again one day. Wheeeeee!!! or should that be Vrroommm?? HHmm actually I don't know how to many the sound of a boat engine! Anyone?

@emily2u

When traveling from the north of Taiwan to the south by road, we passed by this field full of red flowers in Minxiong, Chiayi. I asked my driver to stop, so that I could take some photos. These flowers are called Scarlet Sage. I see that the flowers were plucked and dried also...not sure for what purpose. Maybe for tea?

@emily2u

#throwback Trekking to Happy Cave in Nepal When in Nepal, we trekked to different destinations every day, and on this particular day, it was to "Happy Cave", a cave that was used by lama (spiritual people) to meditate. It was very far, with high altitude, as usual, and these three lowlanders found it very difficult to cope. And so, we stopped numerous times for picnics and photoshoot! πŸ€ͺ

@emily2u

Missing one of my favorite hobbies, besides traveling ~ exploring street food. These photos of food were taken when an organizer brought together many food vendors to promote Asian culinary delights in my city of Ipoh. There were so many different types, such as suhun ayam Indonesia, Japanese gyoza, Taiwan coffin bread and more.

@emily2u

Good morning, everyone. Sleep early, wake up late. That's me 😜😜😜😜😜 Look at my subs, such a nice number at 1717 and one step closer to 2000. I used a calculator to see how many more subs I need. It's 283!! Thank you so much to all of you who are supporting my content. I πŸ’š U.

@emily2u

This narrow alley in Kuala Terengganu's Chinatown pays homage to the sea turtle, iconic mascot of the east coast state of Terengganu. Known as Turtle Alley or Lorong Penyu in our local language, it was established in 2011 and is a destination for those who wish to learn more about the reptile in a fun way. This themed pathway also includes a children's story on turtles, written by Dr Chan Eng Heng, a turtle conservationist, in her effort to protect the endangered animal.

@emily2u

Some time ago, I went to the local supermarket to check out this bluefin tuna slicing demonstration, where a Japanese chef was purposely flown into Malaysia for a tour. Chef Isobe tackled this 60kg (perhaps heavier) bluefin tuna to the delight of shoppers, who queued up to purchase the freshly prepared tuna sashimi. I couldn't afford it, as it was selling at MYR1100 per kilogram or approx. US$260 per kg. In the third photo here, the price of this portion was MYR204 (US$49).…

@emily2u

Good morning! A new dawn, a fresh start. Just wish that I can put my feet up for real, rather than just posing for content. It's been too long since my beach vacay. Who else is with me? ❀️

@emily2u

I once went to stay at an all-inclusive resort that had lots of short classes for guests. One of the activities available was yoga, so I signed up, and nearly got a heart attack when I saw my instructress in this position. Thank god guests were NOT required to do this! We were just taught basic body flexing and balancing, which was just about what I could manage!

@emily2u

Halloween is coming soon and it got me recalling the fun that I had on this place that had plenty of 3D art for photography purposes... look at this guy, got himself cut in half... *touch wood* *Knock knock* Super gruesome and totally befitting the season. I haven't come across such new establishments anymore but it was very popular a few short years ago. This and the upside-down house.

@emily2u

One of my experiences in Taiwan was to get hands-on at the farm. Seen here is my friend who just harvested the gouard, which according to them, was huge! The land seemed to be very fertile here on the hills as all the harvest was very big in size.

@emily2u

This is Mo Ru Lane (or Rimaohang) that is part of the attraction of Lukang Walking Tour, in Taiwan's township of Lukang, in Changhua County. This narrow alley is named thus (touching breast lane) because the alley is so narrow, that if two people were to walk along it, their breasts would touch. The width is actually just good for one person, and a skinny one at that!!!

@emily2u

What a surprise to receive sponsorship renewal from ever-supportive @stevea68 and for reclaming pole position on my widget! You are the bestest!!!

@emily2u

This is the ferry from Johor to Batam, known as Dolphin. It's a high-speed, air-conditioned luxurious boat, and offers a comfortable ride across international borders. I hope that one day, I get to ride on it again. That would be awesome.

@emily2u

Do you consume Brand's Essence of Chicken? Do you really believe that this tonic can really energize you? Whether I believe or not is immaterial. I had the opportunity to tour their health museum in Taiwan, their very first in the world, despite the brand being 180 years old. Do you know that the brand is now owned by a Japanese company, even though it was first started by a Brit?

@emily2u

Good morning all.... What a beautiful sight greeted me when I woke up and scrolled through Facebook Memories and came across this photo. This is a floating mosque on Pangkor Island in Perak, Malaysia. The name is Masjid Al-Badr Seribu Selawat.

@emily2u

Saw @NosCha talking about #DCFanDome and so, I too joined the bandwagon even though I have to admit that I am not such a great fan of DC Comics. Somehow @NosCha has three NFTs, while I, like most people, only have two. Oh well, and I would have preferred if all my NFTs were in one wallet. 1. Jace Fox, Batman (rare) 2. Diana of Themyscira, Wonder Woman (common)

@emily2u

Thank you so much @AmazingWorld for your sponsorship renewal! Muah!!!!

@emily2u

I'm a bag person, and I have many bags, although I use just a few of my favorites. Here's a new bag that came by courier today. It looks smallish but can accommodate my stuff.... But then, new bag and no where to go πŸ˜‚

@emily2u

Did I already mention that I love bags? Here's a bag stall that I visited in Rantau Panjang, Kelantan. Didn't have a purchase in mind but just wanted to browse. Maybe there's something that I liked?

@emily2u

Hot Pot Story Poor timing as it was a super warm evening. πŸ˜‚ Usually, hot pots are best taken on cold days. Hehehe no choice, already prepared all the ingredients, so we just went ahead. Was sweating loads throughout dinner due to the additional heat.

@emily2u

It's super warm here over the past two days.....I wished I was at a hotel right now, or that I lived in a condo that has a swimming pool just to dip-dip (not swim)! Who else has the same thought? This capture was from Concorde Hotel Shah Alam, Malaysia.

@emily2u

Was taking my afternoon nap and then suddenly Lucky Dog alerted us of enemy trespass. Woke up to check the drain and this baby water monitor lizard was caught in the trap, that we placed in the drain to catch rats. πŸ™„ Disrupted my sleep.

@emily2u

In Taiwan, I was invited to visit this factory that manufactures ribbons! Soooo many rolls of them with different colors, designs and patterns, for multiple uses. It was overwhelming to see shelves and shelves of them, and even of various occasions, like Christmas-themed ribbons.

@emily2u

Good morning! Look who popped up on my Google Photos. This giraffe lives in Taiping Zoo in Malaysia. I took the photo while feeding it a carrot, trying to make it look at the camera. Hehehe

@emily2u

Have you seen this plant before? It's brinjal or eggplant. I didn't know this is how they grow and found this very amusing. πŸ˜‚ They are still very tiny, though. I love going to the nursery to check our flowers and trees.

@emily2u

Before the "virus", I used to cover a lot of celebrity events. This is celebrity chef Dato' Fazley Yaakob. He was a singer / TV personality and then participated in MasterChef Celebrity Malaysia and won the contest. Following that title, he went to train at Le Cordon Bleu Paris, receiving a Diplome de Patisserie. He subsequently established a restaurant, SukaSucre.

@emily2u

It's past 1.30am. Just completed my work to be sent out to my client in the morning...had to rush as I was busy with my other stuff yesterday and earlier today. Oh well, "tomorrow" is another hustle. Good night now ~ P/S: Yearning to be in the great outdoors!

@emily2u

This is Bitexco Financial Tower in Ho Chi Minh City, fully lighted up at night. It doesn't look like the photos that you'll find on Google as I shot it from another angle as I walked towards it. 🀣 It was already late and I was quite sick, not in the mood to go one big round for a better capture.

@emily2u

Look at how rugged the terrain in Nepal is. These two guys were my new friends who trekked together with me to one of the caves. They were not from Samagaun village, but artists hired to paint tangkas.

@emily2u

I had the chance to visit a handicraft institute some time back and was impressed by their creativity. Here's a guy doing a tie-dye t-shirt. Such a beautiful design! But when I went hands-on, mine looked like it was worn by a mechanic who crawled under the car and then wiped his hands on the t-shirt, with so many patches of engine oil. Sigh!!!!

@emily2u

Won myself a pack of 3 NFTs from the "Flow Mystery Pack"... whatever this is *facepalm*. From this contest... https://twitter.com/crypto_cindy/status/1450056927753420804 Also had to join their Discord which is mainly in Mandarin *headache*! Now I dunno what to do with the NFTs... yet another place with a few NFTs.. can't they all go to one wallet for better management?

@emily2u

Packing food home for breakfast. Just simple fried noodles with curry gravy, not the spicy type of curry, though. Chinese curry doesn't have the kick of Indian curry or the spiciness of Malay chillies πŸ˜…. My sleep was disrupted when Lucky Dog alerted us of a trespasser at 5.30am. It's a black cat that had climbed up our mango tree. DUHHHHHH

@emily2u

Super warm weather, surprising for year-end monsoon season! Yearning for a cold drink, kicking back my feet and just rocking in the hammock. Can you just imagine what a life that is? Hehehe Hope it come true!!!

@emily2u

This is Ben Thanh Market in Saigon, Vietnam. I was so looking forward to my visit and exploring the local food and wares but when I was there, I was very ill with gastritis PLUS food poisoning that I could barely walk... but the show must go on, that I still went, grimacing in pain.

@emily2u

Just received an airdrop of 10,000 $FATCAT on my smartBCH wallet. Thank you @MrsBurger and $FATCAT for the distribution. For those who want to participate, it's too late for this round of airdrop, but there might be a second one. In any case, join their Telegram group and perhaps you can receive some $FATCAT for your memes. Join here: https://t.me/FATCATBCH

@emily2u

Went through some old hard disks to look for my personal photos and came across this screen capture of a game that I used to play, called FairyLand. You know what? I totally had no memory of playing such a game! And you can see on the lower-left corner, there was an on-going conversation among fellow players. How strange that I have forgotten everything about the game. LOL

@emily2u

Good morning! Welcome to my city. This is one of the handful of signs on the fringe of the city to greet visitors/travelers and welcome home Ipohites. Yesterday was a public holiday but there was no rest for me. Well, time to rest come 2022!!!

@emily2u

Damnnnn as if I don't have enough of stuff to settle, here comes the summon from the income tax department to audit my accounts from 2017 - 2020. That's four years of documents to prepare for them!

@emily2u

Satay is one of my favorite meat preparation but I only take chicken and pork satay.., no beef or rabbit or innards. Hehehe This is chicken satay. It's usually not easy to find pork satay unless you can find a non-Muslim stall but satay stalls are mainly operated by Malay Muslims, hence pork is so difficult to find. There's one famous Malay satay stall in town but it's been a while since I went to that area. I wonder if he still operates, following the lockdowns, etc.

@emily2u

I hit the milestone of 200 subscribers today on read.cash. Although my account was registered in January 2021, I only began writing on read.cash at the end of May. I only had two real-life friends as readers when it all began. Thank you to all of you who subscribed. I appreciate your support to make this journey so much more enjoyable and less lonely. I will get down to responding to all of your comments here and on read tomorrow. I am still struggling to complete my report…

@emily2u

What an awful day it has been, but no matter how bad things are, they won't be forever. Life is like a roller coater, it goes down but surely will come up again. And with this thought, I'm gonna sleep and welcome a new day in the morning. Hopefully, it will be better than yesterday. 😴 Good night.

@emily2u

🀣 This was the days of playing Pokemon Go. This location in front of a church near my house was an arena for Raid Battle. So, all the cars stopped there to raid. And they'd be there for a long time. The fact that they drove there means this was a is a game for adults and not kids. πŸ˜‚

@emily2u

Was in the middle of working on the report when I was alerted that Punks were running low and that whoever wanted to get in must mint them or be left behind. So, it was 0.01 BCH to mint each and luckily, I just transferred some funds over to Metamask. Just good enough for two, but better than zero. The Punk balance was counting down to just a thousand, from ten thousand availability. Not sure how valuable these are, so just wait and see.

@emily2u

Look what just came in the mail, for free! Aerograms, for free, but only to be used within the country. I remember the days or blue-colored aerograms, which we sent overseas. And when seeking penpals, those who replied to my listing via aerograms were not considered. Hahaha!!!

@emily2u

In my life before lockdowns and such, I had many opportunities to put up at different accommodations. The shower is one of the places that I always check first. I've stayed at huts that have outpost toilet/bath without a roof, and then I've stayed at luxurious suites that have such a view while showering. Would you pull down the blinds or not?

@emily2u

My NFT tab of Metamask wallet is finally not empty! I minted the Law Punks but the robot was gifted to me by BAnet. I don't even know their value but it irked me when that page was empty. Hahaha it can be quite addictive. I wonder if there are other people like me.

@emily2u

My feature on this kung fu master was published in Malaysia's oldest English daily five years ago, as reminded by Facebook. I miss interviewing people and discovering stuff about them that I normally wouldn't.

@emily2u

From bamboo huts to five-star resorts, I have had my fair share of traveling and staying at different classes of accommodations. Well, sometimes I put up at a dorm-style hotel (awesome location right next to the transportation hub), which I actually don't mind, but I have to take the upper bunk. Can you guess how many guests this room accommodates?

@emily2u

Blue skies and everything nice. Feeling sleepy as I crunch data here at my workstation but my mind is everywhere else but the work that needs to be done. I need my nap, but the funny thing is, when I was on the road, I don't need my nap, well, unless it was jetlag!

@emily2u

This LAW Punk (human female) was gifted to me by @Kain_niaK and matched to the real me by @Sydai01 .... THANKS, guys!!! Woo, I love this. I minted two males earlier, so this is a great addition to my LAW Punk collection. Gonna keep them for a long time.

@emily2u

Good morning. It's time to go for a walk. This neighbor of mine walks her dogs almost every morning with three dogs in a pram (or stroller). She walks past my house and it triggers Lucky Dog. I don't understand why people bring their pets to my area when they know full well that Lucky Dog is here and she doesn't like that her territory is invaded. Just go somewhere else, to prevent Lucky Dog from making a ruckus from barking.

@emily2u

Digging 2017 emails for invoices, bills, and receipts, just whatever I have to support my income tax submission for the year. Four years ago is a long time, but am thankful that of the four years from 2017 until 2020, I only have to fill up 1 year's information as I was diligent in the following years, or else my accountant, engaged in 2018, would scold. Urghhh they think I'm so free! I have better use of my time, man!! In one of the emails, I found this photo of the airport.

@emily2u

What's this? It's a glass gallery in Taiwan... Almost the entire "tunnel" is made of glass on all four sides. We have to wear a pair of "Japanese slippers" to walk this tunnel. It's quite confusing for first-timers, but kinda fun to see reflections everywhere.

@emily2u

There's this hotel in my city that offers free accommodation to guests who can somehow "work" in the establishment. I have toured this small hotel before, and am amazed at the "contributions" that were given to the hotel in exchange for free accommodation. Some worked at the front office, or the cafe, or housekeeping but there were plenty of artists who painted up the hotel! Here's one on John Lennon.

When I visited the Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon, it was unfortunately under construction, so it was just a little photoshooting outside, as we were not allowed to enter the church. Oohhh too bad. Worse was that there were many other tourists milling about photobombing me.

Almost 6 inches of papers for 2017 - 2020 tax audit... and I have missing documents particularly for 2017 and 2018. Nothing I can do about that. I doubt the tax officer is going to go through the entire stack. I bet she's going just slap me with a fine that she deems fit.

@emily2u

Just installed FTX (formerly Blockfolio) on my phone. Knew about it a long time but procrastinated. Tonight, I have a little time to myself, so decided to install it. Now, I am too sleepy to key in one by one.

@emily2u

Had the intention to buy some CLY this morning, pre-sale at 7am...but it was snapped up within minutes. All 100 BCH worth. This is a screenshot of some whale. Don't know who. I placed my order and had to keep adjusting down as my transaction couldn't be confirmed, saying not enough in the pool. And now it's listed on Ben and Mist at 100% increase in price and of course they keep saying it's cheap. Duh waste of time.

@emily2u

Really WTF moment! So, after printing 6 inches of documents, I called up the tax department to make an appointment to submit them, only to be told that the person in charge of my file is on COVID-19 quarantine since last week! WTF! Then don't send out the summons to people!! GGRRRR And then, I was told that I have to submit everything via email! Imagine how many emails I have to stagger all 4 years of documents. They are wasting my time!!!!

Taiwan is well known for flowers and fruits. Have you seen a fruits shop as large as this before? This was the first time for me, when I was in Chiayi, just passing by. All sorts of fruits, all planted locally! Normally, I love to eat fruits but I dare not buy too much as I was afraid I'd be looking for the loo!

This is a view of Kathmandu from a helicopter. I was on the way back from Samagaun village to Kathmandu and took this photo. I certainly did not expect the city to be this packed. Just look at how close the buildings are. The streets are overcrowded, but still, it never occurred to me that the buildings would be like this!

I enjoy reading. Even though I can't find the time to do so, I love to be surrounded by books. What is this photo about? This is Raja Tun Uda Library in Shah Alam, Malaysia. In my opinion, this is the best library in the country, because it was designed like a cruise ship. Can you see the curve?

@emily2u

Have you visited the Petronas Twin Towers before? While many may just pose for a photo outside the buildings, what's inside, besides shopping, is this Petroleum Science Gallery. I visited it before and really had an entertaining time, besides the opportunity to learn about petroleum science in a fun manner.

This is the Tunku Abdul Rahman Hall in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu state in Malaysia. On the sidewall features the mural of the 1st seven Prime Ministers of Malaysia. No. 4 and No. 7 are actually the same person. These were painted by the Red Rebel Art Squad, which comprises four talented local artists. This wall mural measures 250 sq. ft. and took the team almost a month to complete. After finishing this, Malaysia has two other new Prime Ministers successively, and now…

As you know, I have water phobia but that doesn't stop me from participating in water activities. This is called flying fish, where the float is pulled by a speed boat doing stunts. Before going into the water, I kept reminding the boat captain to not make dramatic stunts and just go in a slow speed, yet, he went really fast that the flying fish flew, as you can see here. There were three of us in the flying fish and we had to hold on to the float with bare hands. As I was…

My neighbor's bunch of Jasmine flowers poked through the fence to give me this beautiful bouquet. So nice.

Super bogged down by work... worse is LAST minute work!!! GGrrrr but it's OK, one last push before my retirement! I realized that I actually forgot to share my read.cash article links on noise.cash, so here is a continuation: #149 https://read.cash/@emily2u/the-challenges-of-sharing-personal-stories-cc4cd281 A thousand apologies that I have been unable to respond to comments. I will get around to them, I promise, but meanwhile, let me rush out this product brochure. Huhuhu!!!

@emily2u

Came across this photo of me on Facebook Memories, where I participated in a photo challenge. I had to share a black and white photo of a smiling me. That was a tough one, which is why I hardly bother with these photo challenges. But I was tagged by two good friends, so I had to oblige. I don't really have smiling photos but here, I was very amused by the vegetables in Nepal, as they were just as large as blades of Malaysian grass πŸ˜‚... Yes funny, but the reality is that life…

Halloween is just 'round the corner. What I miss the most is the opportunity to check out very creative dishes by chefs in my city, who used to come up with unique menus for the occasion, with ghoulish decorations, like this.

@emily2u

Look what arrived by courier this afternoon. This is a waterproof notebook that I purchased via pre-order last month. They used buyers' money to pay manufacturing costs πŸ˜‚ if only it's also fireproof, but it's not.

@emily2u

My read.cash article from two days ago. See, I'm so behind time that even sharing my article link gets delayed. Oh, what can I say, but THANK YOU for your continued support. I will be in touch to clear all the notifications here and on read.cash soonest! For now, I am STILL overwhelmed by work. #150 https://read.cash/@emily2u/build-up-of-negative-energy-dcc0a5f2

Google Photos is showing me plenty of photos that I took two years ago when traveling in Vietnam. Took this double-decker bus from Mui Ne to Ho Chi Minh City... and what I remembered the most of this 5-hour trip was that I was suffering from gastric, while my travel companion wanted to pee so badly!!!! HAHAHAH!!!

@emily2u

I've been so busy, I didn't have time to log in. Taking my dinner break to check noise and read....Hoping for some time to respond to comments over the weekend. You know what? looks like there's NO weekend for me again... when I get thrown a task at the end of Friday and told that it needs to be submitted by Monday noon. Yeah, right... Check out this photo of Mui Ne Beach in Vietnam, peppered with tub boats with Vietnam flag hoisted. So cute.

@emily2u

Animals bring me joy, even if they are other people's pets!! Obviously, I take a lot of animal photos also. This pup greeted us when we were asking for directions to some destination in Nha Trang, Vietnam. So cute, right?

@emily2u

Good morning! Someone alerted me to check my WAX account to see if I received any NFT drops from cryptomonKeys. I did and got these. The yellow one is rare while green is common, valued at 215 and 3 WAX respectively. 🀣 Yuhoo.

@emily2u

I used to travel with this budgie bird and his "wife". Yes, I took this bird couple wherever I went, as props. Here was a local landmark that I took this birdie to work as my photography prop. Hahaha! Captured in front of the Lost World of Tambun theme park, during Halloween.

@emily2u

Oh no!! Discovered today that the strap of my smartwatch is broken. So, just made a purchase on Shopee. https://shopee.com.my/Xiaomi-Mi-Watch-Lite-Redmi-Watch-10-color-Silicon-Replacement-Sport-Strap-Wristband-i.300559467.13321353576 Hope it arrives quickly, as I bought from a local seller, paying more than I would have if I waited for 11.11 sale. While searching for a local seller, I found many nice straps by other sellers from China. hahaha WILL NOT SHOP!!! Eeeeeee

@emily2u

Congratulations to me! Received MYR10 worth of BTC just for tuning in to Luno's 1st AMA session tonight. Thankfully, I set an alarm clock for this, I had totally forgotten about it as I am swamped with work still.

@emily2u

Thank you very much @PVMihalache for renewing your sponsorship. I am humbled to receive your support for another month. Much appreciation. May you be blessed further on this crypto journey. *cheers*!

@emily2u

Was going through some old photos and came across this one that I took while spending the weekend in Kuching, Sarawak in Malaysia. How nice it would be if I could again go away on a trip. I can't yet, while my friends are already going there and there, enjoying their holiday! Hohoho.. waiting for my turn. Hope I have enough spare cash for traveling!

@emily2u

Woohoooohooo my watch strap broke in half today. It was still hanging yesterday and now it's totally broken. And the new one that I bought yesterday upon discovering the broken strap, is yet to be shipped out. Luckily I bought from a local seller. Hope it comes fastttttt

Facebook reminded me that 31st October was the 4th anniversary of this awards ceremony, the pinnacle of my blogger life, being recognized by my state government for the tourism promotion that I did for the state.
