Modern art has the big freedom in expressing ideas. We could see that kind of freedom in New Year's decoration in the center of Belgrade, capital of Serbia.
Two days ago, the artist Andrej Josifovski, known as the Pianist, placed a big shining penis near the city Assembly. The figure was called 'Keep Light. '
That event caused great attention of casual passers-by, but also there were millions of comments on social networks.
When the setting was in the shape of a pointed finger, as its author said, that is, in the shape of a male sexual organ, as the gathered commented, the Pianist finally lit up and said:
- This decoration shows us that our course is very solid, as well as that this government, like its predecessors, is holding an uncompromising direction in these dark times. That is why this sculpture shows "how well we are doing". We saw that there are no hungry people here, because the containers are full, the services do not have to work because everything works flawlessly. There is no more stealing, and we know that because they tell us so, there are no unemployed, because everyone has left the country. Here, the mind weakens, and strength rules' - said the Pianist.
The artist was approached by a policeman after the "publication" of the work and a short speech with questions - "what is he doing there, what are his intentions and how much longer will it take" , the pianist replied that he was on his way to the gallery and stopped by to take a break ", which did not cause him any problems.
People were curious, took pictures, smiled at him and made many positive and negative comments, and just forty minutes after posing next to the shining figure Josifovski turned off the lights.
An artist then decided to remove the work four meters high, from the plateau in front of the City Assembl. After that he drove it to a private gallery. It will be offered for sale, and earned money will go to charity for the treatment of children.
I saw the photo first on facebook, and after some google search I found information on daily newspapers and social networks .
Source, facebook, google...
the other day when I saw I died of laughter, what do they tell us with that decoration.
