Many foreigners can't understand some phrases in spoken English, there are many reasons, because of idioms maybe,or phrasal verbs not common in their own language ,but the main reason is usually slang.

Slang is a type of language consisting of words and phrases that are regarded as very informal, are more common in speech than writing, and are typically restricted to a particular context or group of people.It is especially used by particular groups of people.

For example if we have situation where someone does something horrible and not very nice we can hear various phrases about the same situation,said in formal,relaxed or informal way.

A friend is extremely drunk. So we can say
