Having some Indonesian 'Empal Penyet' tonight from a restaurant called 'Penyet Jakarta'. Its actually not A restaurant but a restaurant under a ghost kitchen which comprises of many different brands but under the same kitchen. Seems like these ghost kitchens are popping up everywhere in the city probably to save rental cost and because food delivery has increased more and dine-in has decreased.

So Empal Penyet is basically beef that's been cooked and smashed. It's topped with some crispy fried bits which I'm thinking is the marinade that has flour in it. It's like the crackling from the deep fried chicken which they also serve.

The meal comes with the beef, some fried tofu, some raw vegetables like lettuce, cabbage, tomato, and cucumber, and all served with rice.

They also serve it with Indonesian sambal which is very spicy but also slightly sweet from it having fresh tomatoes pounded into it as well.

The meal also came with a drink which I chose iced lemon tea for mine. This whole meal cost about RM20 (5 USD) but we got a RM6 discount off using the Shoppee App.

I don't rate the meal too high in terms of taste only because I've eaten other better ones before but overall it was a decent meal.
