Had this for my breakfast today. Mum bought it from a local Chinese hawker center that's nearby where we live. This is called 'Kuih Kochi'.

This is a 'kuih' that is made with corn flour with pandan skin and the filling is a sweet coconut and brown sugar mix. The greenish tint comes from the pandan leaves which are green so there aren't any food colourings added to this. Its natural coloring from the pandan leaves and better yet gives it its unique flavor.

The texture of the skin is sticky and gooey like mochi and the inside is sweet with the coconut and brown sugar filling. It's cooking method is by steaming it and it is set in a piece of banana leaf that has oil on it to keep it from sticking.

I personally like this more than mochi as it has coconut and pandan which are flavors that is unique to Malaysian food.

Super yummy, fragrant, and delicious!
