A hopeful day, amidst the storm Things come in life, whether we have the power to make them happen in our life or that they just seem to come naturally right at us. This day brought forth a new a brand new day, despite having the overwhelming feeling of fear in last night. That fear that a terrible flashflood might occur as what the rumors says. But luckily this morning, I really am thankful to God that I woke up to a great morning. Which had very light rains. Despite everything that happened, I still had a chance wake up trouble free in the morning. I woke up a bit late for this day, because I slept very late at night trying so hard to be vigilant for myself and my family. I had not much to do for the morning, especially that the Services for Globe network became off in the morning. So, I just had coffee and a bit of homemade "puto dayon" my mother made yesterday. I was trying to spend some time here, to read some articles and make interactions with other users. And then, my close friend / college classmate suddenly showed up here in our house, asking for assistance on how he could join the Virtual Oath Taking for Professional Teachers scheduled at 9AM this morning. I was surprised that PRC used Microsoft Teams instead of the usual Zoom Meetings App. I let him stay over at our sala, and made him use my phone since his Huawei phone can't download the Microsoft Teams Application.

Luckily, our power supply was returned last night. And the network service was also available however there are instances that it became unstable, but and Thank God, my friend was able to stay in the virtual meeting for the entire duration. Their Oath Taking lasted roughly an Hour and a few minutes only.

And I am so happy that now, my friend is officially a Licensed Professional Teacher. Despite the recent storm experience, we still have something happy to celebrate. Even though, We are still receiving lots and lots of heartbreaking news about the nearby towns that suffered greatly from Storm Agaton. Though the flood waters levels have started to low down in Baybay City, what still worrisome is that there are still ongoing rescue operations for those who were trapped in the landslides, and the sad part is that there are casualties. There are reportedly 3 Barangays that had major landslides and they're always the headlines for this days news on Facebook. And most of these places, have few survivors but still had people needed to be rescued. However, some did not make it. This day has been so sad. Then this late afternoon, we saw another news that there is a coastal barangay in Abuyog, Leyte that had a landslide. And it's heartbreaking that the survivors we're injured and that parts of their bodies or faces has blood on it. It must've been a tough time for them to evacuate to safety when that landslide happen. On top of this, the town proper of Abuyog, Leyte is still experiencing floods all over. And aside from that, there are certain distant barangays that needs urgent help. Hoping that these cities could cope and help the ones who are in dire need of help **Closing Thoughts:** Here in our Municipality, even though we also had an experience with the storm, we had so much to thank God that our town is still safe and that there is no reported major incidents here. However, the rising challenge for us is that the Municipality of Mahaplag is still not Passable going out to Baybay City & Abuyog, Leyte or Sogod, Southern Leyte. But still, we are thankful for the LGU and the nearby Battalion troops for their road clearing efforts. Surely their efforts could contribute to an accessible road soon. Still, it was another day of getting stronger and feeling hope despite the happenings. To my fellow users here, thank you for taking your time to read through here.
