Title of the Article: How to Create and Open Presentations in PowerPoint?

Good day, everyone! For this article we are going to talk about something that many of us could relate. The topic was mentioned in the title and I do hope that you are going to like this article.

First

Features in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, are geared toward saving and sharing files online. This is done with OneDrive which is an online storage space for your documents and files so you can access them even when you're away from your computer.

Second

If you want to use OneDrive, make sure that you're logged into PowerPoint with your Microsoft account. Whether or not you're using OneDrive, most new projects in PowerPoint begin the same way: with creating or opening a new presentation all you have to do is go to the Backstage view, and choose New.

Third

If you prefer to start from scratch go ahead and click the option that says Blank presentation, or you can take a look at one of the built-in themes. You should find several different designs to choose from If you want a little more guidance with our presentation are now you can always start with a template. You'll find them in the very same place in the Backstage view. Like themes, templates come with their own design and color scheme, but they can also include tips or placeholders that'll help you further develop your slides.

Fourth

To use a template, you can either click one of the suggested search terms or search for something more specific. If you see a temple you like, just click to view a preview then click the Create button. And now you can start adding your own content to the slides.

Fifth

Opening an existing presentation is also pretty easy. Again you'll want to go to Backstage view, but this time click Open in the left pane. If the presentation you're looking for something you worked on recently, it may appear on the list on the right. In fact, you can pin certain presentations here so you always have access to your most frequently used files. All you have to do is hover the mouse over a file then click the pushpin icon To unpin it, it just click the icon again. if the file you're looking for hasn't been opened recently, just look to the other options.

Sixth

Under OneDrive, for instance, you can access files that are saved online in your OneDrive account. Under This PC ,you can access files that are saved the computer or you can click Browse, then locate and select the file you want. Click Open and the presentation will appear. Sometimes you may find yourself working with a presentation that was created in an older version of PowerPoint.

Seventh

When you open one of these files, it'll appear in something called Compatibility mode. This mode is designed to disable certain features so people who have older versions of PowerPoint can still collaborate on the file. If this isn't a concern, you can easily convert the file to the current version. To do this go to the Backstage view, then click the button says Convert. Choose where you want the copy to be saved, and you can give it a different file name if you want.

Eighth

Keep in mind that converting an older presentation can cause a few unexpected changes to your slide layout. However, it will also give you access to all the current features and commands. OK, those are the basics! Now you know how to create, open, and convert presentations in PowerPoint!
