1983 - alternative history dystopian film

1983 - is a Polish dystopian thriller streaming that I recently noticed on Netflix. No wonder it might remind you of 1984 book by Orwell. By the way in this film when police raid the revolutionaries they find the illegal book 1984 and Harry Potter (that's really funny)

In the year 1983 terrorist attacks with explosions hit big Polish cities: Warsaw, Krakow, and Gdansk and it changed history. The film events happen 20 years later - in 2003 law student Kajetan (Citizens' Militia investigator Anatol start working together to uncover a conspiracy that was behind these explosions. The atmosphere is of a light Orwellian surveillance state (which uses mobile phone "Traska", and other means). There is also interesting geopolitical background that due to alternative events - there is still Iron curtain, and Poland is allied with Soviet Union, China, and Vietnam, while at the same time Polish military wants independence and alliance with USA. I didn't finish watching the film, and I don't want to say much - the story line is really interesting and exciting and the actors are very nice.

I noticed this film accidentally and I like this trailer with amazing piano music. After I started to watch it - I understood that's a great film - so I'm recommending it for you to watch.
