I used to have a lot of friends where I considered them to be my brothers and sisters not by blood, but by heart. And then, as I realized that, the more I become outspoken to everyone, the more that they would desire to use you for anything that they want and need. The lesser people you're with, the more chances of having a true and solid circle of friends. After all, number doesn't matter the most. The adage:"The more the merrier" doesn't matter. And those people who you chose to be with could have a great impact for your growth and development as a person, as a better human being. Remember, there's nothing wrong with having small groups as long as they are healthy for your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual embodiment.

I can agree with that. The few honest friends you have will definitely be better than a group of random people

So true❤ and there is nothing wrong if you want to settle on your own. Sometimes being surrounded by many people kills the real you😊
