What is Curiosity?
Everything begins into person’s ***mind***. The way he acts, way he decides, way he understands, way he perceives, and also the way he become curious with everything that surrounds him. We all have differences on looking into something and understanding the deeper meaning within. We tend to get curious with things we think weird, interesting, or even just freaks us out. What is curiosity? It is the desire to know or learn something about one particular idea or matter.
Nowadays, people’s perspective depends on their own ***understanding*** and kind of ***mindset***. During these days, there are a lot of things, discoveries, and factors that trigger someone’s curiosity. The world has too much to offer, and the technological advancement added a factor too. People usually scrolls up and down to social media platforms in which they sometimes run into something that will make them curious.
**What are the factors that makes a person curious?** This depends to the way of thinking of a person. One factor is their *****interests*****. Curiosity level of a person is high specially when they have interest to a certain idea or thought. Second factor is the things that makes them *****anxious*****. Since we are in a pandemic right now, people’s anxiety is getting worse that triggers their curiosity to what is happening and what are the latest updates or news in the said matter. Another factor is the *****trends*****. We get to be curious to the things that are trending in social medias or in our surroundings. Like for example is the trending dance craze in Tiktok, trending music video or vlog in Youtube, or even a trending scandal or issue circulating the social media will definitely trigger someone’s curiosity. Lastly, if something seemed weird in a person’s view. Again, it depends on someone’s way of thinking. There are moments that we accidentally bumped to someone and if they look weird, we get curious about their personality. There are also some instances that we saw *****something off***** and suddenly find ourselves thinking about it and eager to find answers. The feeling of being curious might be a little complex but this makes life more interesting – *by learning new things and having the desire and eagerness to acquire information and ideas.*
On the other hand, there is this popular saying, “*curiosity kills*”. Does it? Again, it depends to how a person act upon their curiosity. Some are taking it and acting negatively. Some people’s curiosity leads them to a harmful and dangerous situation whenever they take action with their curiosity in a not ideal experiment, invading other’s privacy, and sometimes other become stalkers. These are the circumstances led by handling curiosity in a bad way.
Feeling curious is not a sin. Being curious to something is a good thing because it does justify that someone’s thinking rationally. But, always apply sensitivity and discipline to the decision you make out of your curiosity. Always look onto the broader and idealistic side of the things you are curious to, and not being held by its negative impact to you. Being curious means having the eagerness to know something and be informed by a certain matter. Choose the things you got curious with. —————————— ***This serves also as my entry to the sponsorship of*** @Macronald***. For me curiosity is the eagerness to know about something and everything about things that I do not know and understand.
This is exactly what I pointed out, and I'm glad you understand it too. Thank you for dropping by and sharing your thought about this. I really appreciate that.
I like how you simplified and broke down the whole concept of curiosity. Thank you for saying we shouldn't dwell on the negative parts of curiosity.
Yes. We should really not focus on the negative impacts curiosity will give us.
Thank you for sharing your thought about this. I really appreciate that.
For me curiosity will help us to know more. It would build up more our knowledge.Sometimes curiosity would lead a person to become eager in knowing more. It is not bad to become curios to something as long as you understand how to handle things. Curiosity is very helpful to become a succesful person in life.
I really am sorry that I had to reply to a wrong comment. Someone copy pasted your comment, and I just checked it out through checking my notifs. Definitely true! Curiosity is somewhat a way to become a better version of ourselves since through this, we can learn more things and discover a lot.
Wow Amazing Dear
Thank you so much. I hope you enjoyed reading it.
You are welcome Dear
Curiosity is the reason why we do something. Curiosity is the reason why we have to go to school. It is the reason why we still exist. Because without it, we might never acquire the knowledge that we have today. We would never explore the world and learn from it.
This has absolutely hit a point. Yes, curiosity is something that we cannot live without. It is the emotion or the feeling of eagerness to learn something or to acquire something. That kind of feeling should not leave us behind. Because it is our of learning and part of the process of being the better.
Curiosity is something that destroys our brains sometimes, but sometimes when you are curious to learn or watch something new & different is a good thing. 💜
Yes. Curiosity gives both negative and positive impact to a person. Again, it depends to the person's way of thinking and how views life ++ his/her perspective in any circumstance.
>Choose the things you got curious with. this is a good ending, it summarizes it all.. yes, we really need to choose as we could either learn or fall to the pit. with the advancement of technology and young people nowadays have freely access to the internet, its influence affects them and bring out great curiosity which will definitely make them try and explore, the consequences will be either good or bad depending on the matter. however, curiusity is the reason why there is progress in mankind's way of living from primitive to the computer era. It has lead us to acquire wisdom, knowledge, lesson and even the worst also
You just absolutely pointed out something I wanted to read in this comment section. Yes, exactly what you've just said, curiosity is what led us to where we are now and to the innovations we acquired. 😍🙃 Thank you for sharing your thought about this and it is not just some random idea you shared, but facts.

Hahahahaha. I can imagine your face with like "omg! that is it. the term i can't think of a while back". 😁😂

It really does, they say.
Does your points came to back normal already?
Yes. It's normal now.
Ohh. Mine is still on freeze 😥
Wait for it to become okay. It will.
Yeah. I hope so. 💖
Curiosity kills the cat. Like some of the neighbors so curious about our life LOL! Anyway, curiosity is not bad, it is a spark that leads us to learning and exploring new things.
Yes. But again, it depends to the person. Lol 😁😂 and depends on the action they make out of their curiosity. The one u mentioned where neighbors are curious about our lives, they just wanna gossip 😁😂
I agree. Gossiping is a disease. They need help.
Exactly! Hahahahaa.
