Mass of thanksgiving and welcome to the future baccalaureate graduates of the republic
Today we have lived moments of happiness, my son Fabian follows the steps towards his graduation ceremony that will be next week. On this occasion the school has organized some previous events such as the mass and the party to honor the children.
Early in the morning we got up and I went to the kitchen to prepare a delicious lunch, what I had in the fridge was chicken so I took what I had in the fridge and put it in the oven. Then I ran to the shower and got ready to go to the thanksgiving mass for all the blessings we have received.
I felt a certain nostalgia when I arrived at the school, knowing that soon my son will be leaving that place where we spent a great part of his life, where he was formed and educated to be a good man.
The mass began at the scheduled time, the church was very nice, decorated with beautiful flowers, the protocol people attended us very well and the celebration of the mass by Father Guerrero was very heartfelt, dedicated only to the graduates.
I liked the sermon very much, he spoke about the parable of "The Sower", do you know it?
This parable talks about the seed that is sown in bad soil and produces nothing, another that falls on a stony ground and although it tries to be born it cannot because it does not have a good soil where to germinate, there is a seed that falls on the bush, it is the one that is born but immediately the weeds overflow it and it also dies; but the one that falls on good soil is the one that is born, grows and gives good fruits.
The seed represents the word of God and all that he has taught us to be good people, good children, good believers and the soil in which it falls is our life, it depends on who we are and how we receive the word of God we will let the seed die or not.
This parable makes us think, how is your life at this moment, is it full of stones, is it full of weeds, or is it good soil where anything can grow and bear good fruits?
Father Guerrero invited us to prepare ourselves every day, to feed ourselves with the word of God, to not move away from his protection, because if we are with God, wonderful things will surely happen and if something bad should happen, we will surely know how to cope with it because we trust in him.
After mass we were invited to go to the central patio where the children shared with their parents and had many pictures taken.
At noon we went home to eat and rest for a while and then we went to the reception organized by the parents and representatives, all with the idea of continuing to celebrate them and make them feel how special they are to us.
We arrived at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, several students had already arrived and we began to celebrate, everything was beautifully decorated and the space reserved for the activity was really well taken care of. As the afternoon went on more and more people arrived, my children said that the food was very good. With a few drinks in our heads we started to dance with the guys, my children love to dance so they asked all the women of the party to dance.
That's how the night went, dancing, having a few drinks and eating. At 11 p.m. we went home to rest, my feet hurt, but my heart was happy. The truth is that I would like to see more young people achieve their goals, that they never leave school, that their parents feel proud to see their children fulfill their dreams.
The graduation ceremony is still to come, it will be next Thursday. For sure I will be around here telling you how it went. See you soon friends, take care of yourselves.
Congratulations Fabian and parents! We also feel nostalgic as you blog about your journey with his schooling as we all experience how to study. Kids feel appreciated when you mothers and fathers prepared more for the graduations. The party for sure went well, we felt happiness for you too.
"But the one that falls on good soil is the one that is born, grows and gives good fruits." This parable describes how we accepted Jesus and how the WORD of God grow within us and resurrected.
I honor the Christ in you sister. You are loved.
