Burnham Park is a historic urban park in downtown Baguio, Philippines, formally designated as the Burnham Park Reservation. Daniel Burnham, the renowned American architect and Baguio city designer, designed it.
Burnham Park was created in 1905 as part of a wider plan for the city of Baguio by American architect Daniel Hudson Burnham. Burnham delegated the duty of interpreting the early plans for Baguio and the capital city of Manila to William E. Parsons after presenting them. 'Baguio Meadow' was the name given to the area where Burnham Park presently stands.
Burnham's contribution to the park's creation is commemorated by a bust of his likeness and a plaque at one end of the park.
According to the Baguio Heritage Foundation in 2014, only the open field typically used for football and the Melvin Jones Grandstand correspond to Burnham's original concept for the park, which includes a small pond or lagoon in the green space's center and regimented rows of grass and walkway.
