Three weeks ago, I wrote an article about my dream house that would be funded with both fiat and Bitcoin Cash. Feel free to read it here: New Goal: Saving More Bitcoin Cash For My Dream House.
Initially, the plan was to save 30% of all my latest articles starting from the announcement of my plan until September, on the day before my birthday. But then, my sister suggested doing it this month (May) while it's still summer and fewer chances of rain.
Luckily, the first few days in the month of May have been so good to me that I received a total of $780 upvote from Sir @MarcDeMesel alone. All thanks to him, I got to save a lot in just a few days since I started my plan to save extra BCH for my dream house.
Unfortunately, since the value of Bitcoin Cash is still ranging between $1100-1300, the amount I have saved is now at -28.54%. So from a capital of $335.38, I only have $239.67 left. My BCHouse wallet, the name of the wallet intended for the house, has not been updated yet.
The last time I transferred BCH to My BCHouse wallet was on the 12th of May, which means I still have a few more to send. I'm just going to update it once everything is quite stable as I've heard that there have some delays on the transactions lately.
So here's the update:
Day 1 (May 16)
Finally, after the long wait, my neighbor whom I call uncle, came to the house to talk about the measurements. So we accompanied him to the area where the house will be built. There, he checked the lot and started measuring every corner of the future house. We then concluded to have an 18x20 house. Sorry, I'm not good at measurements so not sure what unit to use that. LOL.
Bedroom - 10 x 15
Toilet and bathroom - 5 x 6
The rest of the house (living room, dining room, and kitchen) - 8 x 20
Porch: We haven't discussed it yet but will have one, of course.
After the measuring and all, we agreed to start it right away.
Day 2 (May 17)
This morning, they came. Uncle came along with his son and another guy, our former helper's husband. My sister suggested having 3 of them so it won't take that long to finish.
This morning, they started digging for the foundation. There will be 9 posts, and they've finished 5 already. There's a lot of work to do but according to uncle, since the house is just small, it will be completed in just a few weeks.
Current budget
As for the budget, to be honest, I only have Php 30K on hand. This is why I have to file SSS and Pag-ibig loans to get more funds for the construction and labor. I do have another Php 18K, though, but it's in the other passbook, which I can't withdraw yet.
So if I rely only on my cash on hand and the loans, I could probably accumulate a total of more or less Php 70K. Plus, the small savings I have in Bitcoin Cash; the $300+ from My BCHouse wallet.
So far, we have already spent Php 20,000 or $417 for the materials.
Design
So glad that we don't need to hire an architect to help us design the house because we can just Google them. All thanks to Pinterest.com, I found my inspiration. There are so many great designs but I prefer a simple one and a budget-friendly design, so here it is.

Except that it will be a semi-concrete house. Plus the bedroom and T&B will be on the right side.
Closing thoughts
You might be asking why I'm in a rush when I barely have enough money. I don't really worry much about the budget since my mom already told me that she'll back me up.
And I can just pay her through Bitcoin Cash since my initial plan is to save until September. This means that I will keep saving 30% from my daily articles until the day of my birthday and use that money to pay my mom.
So happy seeing you slowly building your dream house. Hoping to see the actual photo soon. God bless 💕
