Hey mate! Can you Subscribe me too, Im your Subscriber.....
Nice..
Bending to "Mob" rule.
The tyrants that have been telling you to choose Green for the Bitcoin Cash logo are telling you that they do not want you to use or promote orange, as was listed and shown when Bitcoin Cash was created. You must use Green for “Reasons”.
I'm involved with Bitcoin Cash because I don’t want tyrants telling me what to do.
They can do what they want. Enough said.
“1) It undermines a key Schelling point in the community, the cash logo.”
There exists a green banknote logo. Making the orange logo green doesn’t make the banknote edges disappear. People use both on the green side and generally have no issue with it. Some prefer banknote, some prefer circle.
The first point in this article fails miserably, as it has nothing to do with color.
“2) Bitcoin Cash is electronic cash, which is immediately apparent from the cash logo.”
Again, nothing to do with color, but logo shape.
The third point literally contradicts itself too!
“3) The green coin specifically does not accomodate for other colours. Attempting to use other colours will only cause confusion to customers, as it could be BTC (orange), BSV (gold) etc.”
“Conversely, the orange cash logo can easily have its colour changed, and still be recognised as Bitcoin Cash without any confusion, due to the distinctness of the cash logo.”
“4) There is an increased likelihood of ideological differences in the community manifesting into branding separation.”
The same occurs with orange.
I suggest you re-read the article. Pay special attention to the different terminology used, e.g. "orange cash logo" vs "cash logo" vs "green coin", that may assist your comprehension.
Again, your first point does not address color, but shape. Since you start off with: "There are several reasons why we believe a green coin, or any other significant departure from the orange cash logo, is not good for Bitcoin Cash:" before listing your first point.
In reality, you aren't arguing color, you are arguing shape. As I've already stated.
For the second point, re-read above.
For point three, you undermine your entire point of this article by saying:
"Conversely, the orange cash logo can easily have its colour changed, and still be recognised as Bitcoin Cash without any confusion, due to the distinctness of the cash logo."
while also saying that
"or any other significant departure from the orange cash logo"
is
"not good for Bitcoin Cash".
Green is an objectively significant departure, considering it's what started the green vs orange debate. So which is it?
For point four, arguing against a certain shape increases chance of brand separation just like arguing for a certain shape increases chance of brand separation.
Don't act morally superior. Get off your high horse.
Thank you sharing your most important article...
