Celebrating Bitcoin Cash May-2022 Upgrade - 2.5 BCH Giveaway

I have already funded the giveaway by sending 2.5 BCH to bitcoincash:pzq2vg8ppftlnk7raj452eae33upjgedj5dnc5efg5.

This is no ordinary address, this is a P2SH address, which means that it is a "smart contract" address. Anyone who wants to spend from it must satisfy the contract, and I designed it so that ANYONE will be able to satisfy it. First come, first served! :)

There's a catch, though - the contract uses Script features (native introspection opcodes and OP_MUL) that will only become available when the May 2022 Bitcoin Cash upgrade will be activated. Because of that, nobody can spend from the address yet and that gives you a few days of time to figure out how to craft the spending transaction in anticipation of the upgrade activation.

Anyone is able to do the same, so it will be a race - who will broadcast the valid spending transaction first and at the right time to claim the reward?

I suggest using Electron Cash to make a dummy TX that sends to your address, export the TX into a file then edit it in your favorite text editor to replace the input with the one spending the reward, load it back into Electron Cash and broadcast!

you can only take 1/16th at a time and then to claim the next 1/16th, you have to make another tx, and another, and so on until nobody wants to do it anymore :) and at any moment someone else can claim 1/16th from the remainder

Sure, it's been fun, I think someone made a program to do it automatically, the reward was almost fully claimed in the 1st block and it took about 200 transactions to take all the money

Damn I'd be hard to figure it and I know am not always lucky lol so I don't have hope though 😂... Am not being negative but I just know it, 2.5 BCH is an interesting price... I'd be satisfied with 1BCH because it has been my dream for years lol

it requires some skill, not necessarily programming, but ability to figure out some technical details like hex encoding, and advanced use of electron cash software, and that's just to participate, when you figure it out, it will be a race to first submit the TX

Not possible yet. BCH gets a network upgrade tomorrow, and then it will be possible to start taking from the reward pool by those who figured it out and get their TX mined. Each TX can take 1/16th of the reward, and then the next TX can take 1/16th from the remainder and so on until the reward is depleted.
