Good evening to all, just wanna say thank you to those who always gave me upvotes or always upvoted my articles, you all knew who you are and i miss the @TheRandomRewarder again, lol.

This year, according to PAGASA, 2021 will be a rainy season or year, or the so-cslled tag-ulan or La Nina season now, we will encounter or experience alot of rain and we should be careful of the floods 'coz we might catch, have or get diseases from it 'coz as we all know, floods are dirty and not safe for all of us. 6 Common Diseases To Watch Out For When There's A Flood

1. Typhoid Fever- It's a bacterial infection caused by Salmonella, it can be life-threatening if untreated.

                              Symptoms

Prolonged Fever

Fatigue

Headache

Nausea

Abdominal Pain

Constipation or Diarrhea

2. Cholera- An acute infectious diarrhoeal disease caused by ingestion of Bacterium Vibrio Cholerae, causes severe watery diarrhea and can lead to dehydration and even death within hours if left untreated.

3. Hepatitis A- A highly contagoius liver infection caused by Hepatovirus A (HAV). It's transmitted through ingestion of water or food that is contaminated with feces of an infected person or through direct contact with an infectious person.

                              Symptoms

Fever

Malaise

Loss of Appetite

Diarrhea

Nausea

Abdominal Discomfort

Dark-Colored Urine

Jaundice or Yellowing of the Skin and whites of the Eyes

4. Malaria- A life-threatening infectious disease caused by Plasmodium Parasites and transmitted to people through the bites of infected female anopheles mosquitoes.

                              Symptoms

Fever

Tiredness

Vomiting

Headaches

                              Severe Cases

Yellow Skin

Seizures

Coma

Death

5. Dengue Fever- It's a mosquito-borne viral infection caused by the Dengue Virus, that can lead to a severe flu-like illness, sometimes causing a potentially lethal complication that caused severe dengue. Commonly transmitted through the bite of Aedes Aegypti Mosquitoes, can results in Viremia, which indicates a high level of the virus in the bloodstream and can be life-threatening within a few hours that often requires hospitalization. Causes serious illness and death among Children and Adults in some Asian and Latin American Countries.

                              Symptoms

Fever with Nausea

Vomiting

Rash and Aches

Pains in Eyes, Muscle, Joints or Bones

6. Hypothermia- It's a medical emergency that occurs when the body loses heat faster than it can produce heat, causes a dangerously low body temperature (below 35 degrees celsius). Children and Elderly People are more at risk of Hypothermia during floods.

Increased Risk of Mental Confusion

Slurred Speech

Decreased Reflexes when the shivering stops

Paradoxical Undressing in which a Person removes their clothing can or may occur

Always be careful, especially when there's a flood 'coz you might catch, have or get the above mentioned diseases 'coz of it. Wear a proper protective gear or suit or prevention once you can't help but to go outside.

People should be aware of these diseases especially those who live in a flood prone area. Mostly mga bata and tinatamaan ng ganitong mga sakit. Idagdag mo na din ang mga skin diseases like alipunga lalo pag nababad lage paa mo sa tubig baha.
