Love your enemies

1 7

MATTHEW 5:43-48, teaches us to love our enemies. This is quite a challenging thing to do for us humans. We know how hard it is because we have a natural feeling of hate for those persons that gave us the feeling of hurt and hardships.

Forgiving an enemy from the things that they've done is a pain in your heart to bear. To forgive them is somewhat letting go of what painful just happened and go on again, but that is the beauty of doing it. As we forgive , we do not definitely give that healing to the person that hurt us but it is to ourselves that we are offering forgiveness. With forgiveness, we bravely accept the things that is almost impossible to handle by humans. Forgiveness in our hearts shows our internal strength that lies in our core and indicates our greatness within.

Forgiving is the best way to love your enemies, nothing more and less. Forgiveness does it all: acceptance, freedom, protection, knowledge, and understanding. These four gifts of forgiveness mentioned are the things that we could have if we would just do it. The awesome thing of this is that it won't demand any work for you anymore for it does all the work for you.

  • Forgiving is acceptance of the things that already happened and inevitably painful

  • Freedom from all the pain that things brought to your heart.

  • Protection from the person that hurt you. Forgiving doesn't mean and ask for you to stick again from the one that causes you pain, but asks for your higher guard to be their .

  • Knowledge of what happened and what possible things may came in the future and;

  • Understanding the situation gain better personality through learning from what happened and be accountable for the next move to come.

Of course, loving your enemies is a hard thing to do. When we say enemy, it is a person we hate or it is the person who did something wrong to you that causes you pain and that made you labeled him or her as your enemy. But, to achieve this, we should know how to forgive and we should understand also the situation of our enemy. There are reasons why your enemy did something wrong to you. Understanding comes first, next is forgiveness and lastly is loving your enemies. It is a stage process.

That's right. Instead of showing them your bad side, show your good side to make them realize their wrong doings
