The other day someone was calling me using a landline number. Honestly, I am really not the type of person who answers my phone if it isn't registered on my phone. Do you answer calls if it's an unregistered number? It is not that I am hiding from someone (even if I really I do. LOL) but if the call is from someone that I know, he or she should send me a message if I wasn't able to answer his or her call.
My experience with answering phone calls may have something to do with what happened in the past. Remember the caller who told me that I could get sued if it turns out that I was covering for our cashier? Accessory to a crime. But I wasn't guilty. Then also gettings calls for my mom because of the same reason. And there was this one time when I answered my phone because my former workmate had told me that she put me as her reference in getting a loaned phone. I had no choice but to answer any incoming calls during that time. I got a call from Unicef because they are asking if I can renew my sponsorship, a call from a bank telling me that I am qualified for a credit card (again right?) and a call from the lending company. Of course I put in a good word for her so that she can get approved. Little did I know that she wasn't planning on paying the phone in installment. I was already resigned and this company was calling me asking me about the payment of my former workmate. Everyday I get calls from different number but all from the same company. So after that, I didn't answer any unregistered numbers again.
The other day, I purposely didn't answer the call. I researched the number on Google and found out that it was from my bank. It got me thinking why they were calling me. I was up to date with my payments but it still got me worried. And then I thought maybe they are going to give me a discount. LOL.
Yesterday I already answered the call and as it turns out, it was from an insurance company that partnered with my current bank. She was offering me an insurance that isn't available to the public and is only for credit card holders. Honestly her proposal was actually a good deal. Alrhough it wasn't like any other life insurances that is like an investment. The monthly pay is fixed and you can cancel it any time you want. It was actually tempting. It was almost the same amount as with our Netflix subscription. But the problem is that I don't have a stable income.
Do you have your own insurance? From what company? How much do you pay for it? What insurance conpany would you suggest? What kind of insurance do you have? If I have a lot of money, I would avail of that insurance and I would also get another life and health insurances. Last year I inquired for an insurance in our bank and it was Php15000 per year. I. think it was payable in 5 years. I thought I was going to be hired that is why I inquired about it. The price of an insurance increases as you age. I suggest that as early as 20 years old, you should get an insurance of your own. If only I have known about this after I graduated then I should have put in a part of my savings for my insurance.
There are some who are skeptical when it comes to insurances. Having an insurance and savings will not only be very beneficial to us but also for our loved ones. I hope that we would have an open mind when it comes to investing in our life and our health. Investments like this may be costly and when that time comes, we wouldn't have a problem and we wouldn't be a burden to our family. Being financially secured is one of the best investments that I could think of don't you think?
With regards to the caller's proposal, I have a week to think about whether or not I should accept it. Right now I am still 40-60. 40% yes, I will avail and 60% no, I refuse the offer. I still have debts and is still struggling financially. If next year the deal is still available then I might grab it. But right now I have to think of paying my bills. I know that I'll be able to invest in my future little by little. If you don't have any debts like me, I suggest you talk to a financial advisor and plan your future.
For the lead image, I used my mom's running hospital bill when she was hospitalized before. We don't have any health insurance so I can't think of other photo to upload.
Oo nga sis, may tamang panahon...mahirap magdagdag sa ngaun lalo ganito pa ang sitwasyon. Soon, makakakuha ka din ng life and health insurance at kontakin mo lang ako ha😁
