Fulfilling April 1st

Happy April Fools' Day everyone. Been in this world for more than 3 decades and it was only today that I cared to search behind April Fools' Day. Honestly, I am not really that into playing jokes and most especially pranks. I would joke around once in a while but not like the pranks that we usually see being pulled by some known video content creators. There are some videos that I have watched that were very entertaining but there are also some that I find too annoying.

I am not going to talk about them since we are all entitled on what our content would be about. I just hope that you did not became a victim of pranks today nor did you made some jokes or pranks about being pregnant, having health problems or cheating on your partner. Those are some that I really do not find funny.

Let us talk about how my day went since I do not have any topic on mind. I started my day with a grateful heart by saying a short prayer. Afterwards I took a shower. Even if I already took a bath at night whenever I would come home, I see to it that I get to wet or wash my hair as I feel like it prevents me from having migraines. Then I got dressed, put on some make up and went down to have breakast. It was my sister-in-law's mom who prepared our breakfast because their new helper had her last day last night. Their old helper already went home to their province because she was going to get married this month. Their helper has been with them for 17 years that is why she was really part of the family. The new helper was only with us for almost 2 weeks and she just waited for her salary yesterday because it was the end of the month. I was suppose to wash the dishes but my sister-in-law's mom insisted that she would do it so that I can prepare myself in going to the store. Last night I washed our dishes and I felt like I did something wrong that is why she insisted on washing the dishes this morning. Then I realized that maybe she has her own way of washing the dishes and cleaning that is why she did not want me to wash the dishes aside from I am partly a guest. I remember my aunt in Zamboanga. She had a different style of washing the dishes. I do not know how but she has a basin in the sink so she would always tell me that she will do the dishes. How do you wash the dishes. Are you the type of person who does not want anyone touching the sink or it is ok for you if some other people will do the dishes on your behalf? If I was the one who cooked or prepared the dishes, I want the kitchen all to myself. Then if my mom would tell me to do the dishes, I want everything to be on the sink. I do not want them to give me plate after plate. Just like in a restaurant, I am used in washing piles of plates and utensils.

Anyway, after I have fixed myself, I went to the store and I was glad that I did not feel sleepy and we were all busy. While the staffs were doing inventory, I consolidated our Grab orders. The supervisor was not able to go to work because of personal reason. Because yesterday was their payday, we ordered pancit that was suppose to be our lunch but we got to eat it by 4PM. Too bad that the supervisor was absent as we have really planned to have a food trip today even if we always do it once or twice a week. Today was a little special because they bought pancit bilao. But minutes before that, I ordered Turk's shawarma because I was really starving and could not wait for the pancit. LOL. Our typical food trip was always foot long hotdog sandwich and fishballs, squidballs and kikiam.

Just after we had finished eating, we received a lot of orders from Grab and walk-in guests. Thank God for a great start for the month of April. We would have to push a little more this month as the store will be close for 2 days on Holy Week. We were not able to hit my sister-in-law's monthly target but it almost hit my monthly target. When my brother's family arrived at the house of his mother-in-law, we talked about what transpired today and gave them an update of some of the stocks. Today has been a long and tiring day for me and for the team but it was very fulfilling.

By the way, my dad texted me yesterday afternoon but it was only this morning that I get to read it. However, it is not to say that he misses me but to tell me that our electric bill is due tomorrow and he was asking when I will come home. Sweet right? LOL. He only remembers me when it is time to pay our utilities and if their medicines are running out. Ouch. LOL. So that's how my first day of April was. I hope that everyone had a good April 1st.
