Focus is the key!

There is always that day or part of our life that we got lost from our focus, from our goal, from our mission and vision. Yes, it happens to all of us; no one is excempted! But do we allow being lost to forever overwhelm us? DEFINITELY NOT!

One example is one of my favorite person in life; my brother. He graduated and passed the nursing board exams but he needed to obtain or to have an experience of at least a year or two, because that was the main requirement of every hospital back then. Some may hire you but no salary will be given, as in you will work there as a volunteer!

He was frustrated but still accepted to be a volunteer in the military base. But when God really is in control of everything, He will lead you to your destiny without you even noticing it. The landlord of the apartment where they temporarily stayed when they volunteered happened to be a retired officer of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) He invited and convinced my brother and his friends to give it a try because if they pass, they surely have a great future ahead because of the benefits of being part of the team and under the government.

It was June of 2012 when my brother informed us about his plan and that he already gone series of exams and just waiting for the call from the PAF. We were worried especially my parents because we already heard about how hard the trainings and it's not really hard to pass there plus we cannot see him for 6 straight months and that was too long! But he was too persistent and assured us that everything will be okay. Even we were in great fear, we supported his decision.

We are with him while waiting for the much awaited call but the whole day passed and most of his friends were already called. I can still remember how sad he was and that was the 1st time I saw him crying in front of our parents; it was a very heartbreaking scene.

The next morning, he prepared his resume and tried applying as a call center agent but he promised that he will try his luck in PAF again. After two (2) days, he was about to attend an interview when he received a very unexpected call. He was jumping and hugged everyone in the house and said 'see you in 6 months!'. And told us that he was accepted in the PAF and will immediately report without bringing anything just the clothes he was wearing.

Fast forward, I am proud to say that I have a brother in the PAF and one of the instructor in flying.

Yes at some point in my brother's life, he almost lost track and felt broken but not his focus. He is driven and never got discouraged even if he was not called instantly. God paved the way to his destiny. It was not a very smooth and easy journey, actually it was really a very rocky one but he finished it with flying colors.

Never let go of that dream, never surrender, FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS! God sees the desires of our hearts and He will definitely lead us there! Just continue to have faith and keep praying because nothing is impossible with God!
