Dear parents,
I know how hard it is to think of our welfare, safety, good health, bright future and to provide everything that we, 7 kids, need . Those sleepless nights thinking of where to borrow money for our tuition fees, allowances and all. That your heart is broken whenever we want something but you cannot because there are more important things to prioritize.
I know for certain that you have silent quarrels but you remain calm because you don't want your kids to see you get mad. We never see you fighting loudly in front of us. That is how much you took care and protect us and the whole family.
Mother, I saw how you woke up early each day going to the field and help in planting and harvesting rice, peanuts, tomatoes, onions and many more just to at least help father in our financial needs. Then when you go home so tired and weary you still need to wash our clothes and prepare our food. You still need to check our assignments and hear us recite our song or poem while waiting for father to come home. You do it with grace and with so much love.
Father, even when your shoes or your belt were already outdated and you just need to polish it or use a pentel pen to cover those flakes. You gave all your salary to mother and just leave what is enough. You always go home with a cheerful smile and bring us something as a surprise. Your love and care for the whole family binds us together and kept us stronger.
You both gave and still giving your very best for our family. Not because it's your responsibility but of love. That kind of love that no one can ever fill, even when we have our own family. You are our role model, our pillar and will remain and forever be our strength.
Thank you my dear parents for showing what a family really means. For giving us more than your best, for loving us without condition, for the values that you instill in us to mold us to be the best person that we are now. No amount of money, achievement and power can ever replace the care, happiness, compassion, and comfort that you give us. These are all here, stuck in my heart.
I thank the Lord God for choosing us to be your children. I may not be able to give back everything but I promise to always choose what is good and right. To give you the life that is worry and stress free. That all I want to see is your smile, a genuine one. And I pray that God will continue to bless you abundantly and grant all the desires of your hearts.
