Sunday, 10 April 2022
Lake Toba is one of the tourist destinations in North Sumatra, Indonesia. The name Toba itself is the name of a very large ancient volcano and the legend of the eruption of this mountain once almost annihilated mankind, which is said to have left only 10% of the human population in this world.
Because of the terrible explosion, the dust cloud released by Mount Toba reached the entire earth and resulted in the sun's rays not being able to reach the earth. This resulted in a very long winter and resulted in death everywhere.
After a terrible explosion occurred, Mount Toba came back to know and found from the explosion of Mount Toba a very large caldera, the caldera will gradually be lit by rainwater and now a very wide lake, we are now with Lake Toba.
Lake Toba has a very extraordinary beauty, now the place has been made a tourist spot. Even a lot of tourists from foreign countries who come to Lake Toba just because they want to know the beauty and history of Mount Toba.
There also provides water rides, you can buy tickets to get on a boat and go around Lake Toba, or you can also play banana boot with your friends or family. In addition, we can also explore the nature around the lake which is no less beautiful.
You can go to the side of the lake to climb the hill and see Lake Toba from the top of the hill, besides that you can also enjoy some typical culinary delights from North Sumatra there.
Samosir island
If we look into the middle of Lake Toba, we will see a small island called Samosir Island. We know that the origin of Lake Toba is from the explosion of Mount Toba.
Of course, from the caldera which is now transformed into Lake Toba, it is possible that the crater of Mount Toba is active again and gives magma a boost up and pushes the soil to the surface of the lake.
From the magma activity, it finally gave rise to a very beautiful small island in the middle of the vastness of Lake Toba.
That is the origin and beauty of the spread of Lake Toba which is actually the caldera of the eruption of Mount Toba.
We don't know what will happen next with Lake Toba, but with the appearance of the island of Samosir, it indicates that Mount Toba is still active and may become a threat to modern humans.
