Living in the countryside has a lot of advantages. Especially if you want to grow your own plants at home.Since hubby and I both love to do gardening. We decided to plant anything available in the space near our house.
Before we moved to our own house we already had our own mini garden at the house where we live before. We started planting some vegetables and spices around April 2020. That was a month after I had to stop working coz of the lack down. We decided to do some gardening after we realize that we are spending our time watching television almost every day and that makes our electric bill goes up. So we started to plant Scallions. The easiest plant to grow. Almost everyone was doing gardening at that time so it was not that hard to find plants and seedlings. Hubby planted 2 different kinds of scallions Bisaya one and the one is what they called amerkanohon one. I think hubby got the Bisaya scallions from his friend and I got the amerkanohon one from the market. I just tried to plant it hoping for it to grow.
Moreover, hubby asks for bitter gourd seeds from his friend. I honestly like that kind of bitter gourd coz it's not that bitter at all. We planted ginger, eggplant, Malunggay, and pechay.
However, when we move to our own we need to start all over again. So a month before we move to our house hubby already planted malunggay in our front yard. So when the time we already live in our house leaves of the malunggay started growing.
Since I love kangkong I told my husband if I can plant kangkong in our front yard and he agreed. He also plants some lemongrass, chilis, tomatoes, ginger, and lemonsito. We still have more space in our yard for more vegetables and spices so I am planning to buy some seeds so hubby can plant them since he is the one who has more time at home.
Wanna know our secret organic fertilizer for our plants?
Ending thoughts
This is my way to save from spending money on buying vegetables and spices in the market, as we all know that prices of all the basic commodities go higher and higher.
This month is the rainy season so it is the perfect time to plant.
How about you guys? Do you also love gardening? Do you have a garden at home?

Ang galing naman sis. Maganda talaga ang may sariling tanim kasi nakakalibre na ng gulay. Hindi na kailangan bumili pa.
