The world isn't equal, there are many barriers to access services, specially the essential ones in low and middle income countries, things that in high income nation are crucial to develop the society and combat mortality rate, in most countries that are subject to negligence, not because they don't care but the costs to have them are prohibitive.
I live in Africa where issues to access medical attention is louder, where people die on the queue to access medication or even to be seen by a doctor, who have to attend more than 700 patients daily, some of this patients go home with wrong prescription, not because the doctor is incompetent to do his job but because it's human impossible to handle all those problems brought by the Hospital users. The result, many people end up dying!
"Those issues with the medical sectors aren't news for the government, they just prefer the standards of a low income country deficient service, justifying it with lack of resources to handle the industry".
Yes, they know the problem but they have enough resources to go overseas in a high income country to consult with a good doctor and pay for the services, when the people who feed them are suffering from this behavior...well it's life, what we can do?!
Absolute nothing for now.
A dilemma in countries for the 3rd world...
When I saw the one.surgery crowdfunding campaign, in the Flipstarter page many things popped up on my mind and I familiarized myself with the struggle mentioned in their campaign, in fact there are so many points on their flipstarter campaign that anyone, living or not in low or middle income countries can be pushed to give a hand on, in fact it's a campaign that could help saving lives.
In the world there are thousands of deaths in the medical sector caused by unsafer surgery's, mostly because the cientists who in norm would be the ones carrying research to help diagnosis many diseases on this countries can't afford to pay to register they work on the biggest and well known publishers in the medical area. This works on the research field are so crucial to help understand and operate people who live in those regions, with the research submitted, reviewed and published more people can have access, special the medical staff can read them openly and help combat problems that require surgery when necessary. They will have knowledge to face those issues.
One.surgery flipstarter campaign will have direct impact in the peoples life, they will give access to those researchers in low and middle income countries to submit and public work that will help save Human beings, all of that thankful to Bitcoin Cash. In fact one.surgery will be one of the first projects to accept cryptocurrency to give access researchers to publish their work, paying less, with the prominent medical publish associations.
This campaign definitely will change the view on many people whom doesn't have a complete perspective about the medical field on low and middle income countries.
