Africa is a very vast continent with several different countries and ideologies, many of these countries still do not even know what a cryptocurrency is or its real purpose. There are people who even think that cryptocurrencies are a scam and that the only objective is to steal money with tricks that they do not understand, however there are also African societies that are very advanced in the cryptocurrency (Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana...) concept and have an open mind to accept that cryptocurrencies are a decentralized revolution that can save a lot of your savings by investing on them.
Just to mention the skepticism of some towards cryptocurrencies and in particular Bitcoin Cash, I will mention a funny event that happened to a close friend who came to exchange Bitcoin Cash for fiduciary money in mid-December last year. This friend of mine purchased Bitcoin Cash while it was still $ 248 per unit and over time the currency gained value and the amount he had in his wallet doubled and he thought someone had sent more value in Bitcoin Cash to have that amount in his wallet, because he still didn't know about the volatility that this market has! And just to imagine he is not just any person, he has a degree from Eduardo Mondlane University and has a master's degree in mechanical engineering, so the level of education is above average but therefore he didn't understand cryptocurrencies very well.
This is not an isolated case, many people have a lot of difficulties in understanding what Bitcoin Cash is and what it can be used in commerce, even the most open minds have this lack of perception of this wonderful world but little by little educating many gaps they can be broken and over time they will be the next to educate even more people to continue to use and take advantage of the real Bitcoin on the market, Bitcoin Cash.
Telling a trader that he can accept Bitcoin Cash in his business as a form of payment is very simple, but explaining how it works and what its true market value can be challenging. Many merchants end up accepting Bitcoin Cash because it is a cryptocurrency and "is in fashion" but many of them have little benefit from this currency, as they continue with several gaps in realizing its real purpose as a payment currency and end up not inviting their customers to use the currency to make payments using Bitcoin Cash. While merchants who are first dedicated to learning the true value of Bitcoin Cash in their finances, are the first to encourage customers to make payments using digital currency.
Educating these merchants first then recruiting to accept Bitcoin Cash in their business is the best method of adopting the currency, as many who learn the true meaning of Bitcoin Cash will also be ambassadors for the project in their business and also reaped benefits using the currency, after all we don't just want houses with stickers that "accept Bitcoin Cash" but we need them to understand what the true value of Bitcoin Cash itself is for worldwide use and correctly.
Societies like mine, Mozambican, many young entrepreneurs are still afraid to accept the currency more privately, they accept it, many may ask "why in private?". Well they do not accept much in public because of the utopia that rules our society about the unknown, they feel threatened by the Banks when they issue alerts saying that cryptocurrencies are a danger and that they will not be responsible for the loss of money with users who decide to enter this market. But in return they accept privately because when they travel to make their purchases abroad, many of them in China and Dubai, they end up paying using Bitcoin Cash to the suppliers of their products.
As we can see these young entrepreneurs are gradually breaking this stigma imposed by society about cryptocurrencies, which are often government propaganda to scare citizens who pay the tax and make them increasingly wealthy, and in a short time many of these young people will publicly add this form of payment to their sales outlets in the meantime and we currency ambassadors in various African countries tirelessly work hard to make it happen.
It is not an easy task but recruiting traders in Africa, in particular Mozambique, will be much easier after educating what Bitcoin Cash is and what its true purpose as a decentralized digital currency, we must be careful to put the cart in front of the oxen or we will have problems with adoption on the African continent.
Educating first will be the motto after recruiting to better meet market demand.
