Stop Discriminating
Discrimination can be described as the practice based on prejudgment is to make decisions without having full knowledge. Based on the appearance, social or economic conditions will be recognized as a group that is inferior or superior. Discrimination is a poisonous plant that has grown rapidly in South Africa since the end of the Apartheid.
Most of the people in the Europe, America, Asia and even Africa will admit that they have discriminated against somebody at least once in their lifetime. This comes as a result of a recent survey conducted by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
The survey runs contrary to what most people believe, because discrimination has been on the decline in recent years. The last time this type of survey was conducted, it was discovered that more than 50% of people had admitted to discriminating against others.
The good news is that there is continued progress when it comes to equality and discrimination – for example, gender pay gap has narrowed and racist attitudes are slowly diminished. However, we still have a long way to go before the problem of discrimination is completely resolved.
The first effect of discrimination is the loss of respect for the group suffering it. Towns and cities that are seen to embrace discrimination can see their attractiveness as a place to live, work and visit damaged as a consequence.
This leads to a loss of revenue - not just from members of the discriminated group who don't want to live in the city, but also the wider population who will avoid spending money there.
The second effect is that discrimination invites people from other places, who have fewer economic problems, to come in. This can mean that people from other areas, who are less economically active themselves, move in and take up services without paying for them.
This leads to a loss of revenue - as these people consume resources without contributing as much as they should.
We as humans have faced discrimination since the beginning of time. We have faced discrimination in the form of race. The sad thing about this human race discrimination is that it is based on race, culture, language and discrimination in the form of rich or poor. There is no stopping the discrimination process until we realize that all people are humans.
We must stop this discrimination process by helping each other and by forgiving each other. People who discriminate are usually the losers. They are usually jealous of other people with money or they want to be like them. Sometimes they just make themselves feel better.
This world has enough problems as it is without fighting each other and hurting each other. Discrimination is one of our main problems that we need to overcome to help us make a good earth for our children and our children's children.
To my wonderful and extreme subscribers, inspiring readers, commentator, upvoters and also my generous sponsors . Thank you all so much for been there, from the bottom of my heart I say thank you. Adereign cares.
I learned to discover that those who discriminate have short reasoning and a low heart of understanding. If they know better, if they know what tomorrow holds and if they know what potentials each everyone has they will do better.
Peace
