My culture, my pride

Culture as value to human race every Nation and tribes has their own culture but my own very county varies of culture that had beauty to her people living. Based on the Merriam Webster dictionary culture is define as a way of life of a group people act specific behaviour, value beliefs, value and symbol that they accept, generally without thinking about them and are passed along by communication and imitation from one generation to another.

Everyone practice culture in our day to day activities either by celebration, sports, values, and priorities of life. There various elements of culture which are

Ø  Religion (Our ways of Worship)

Ø  Food (we can trace the food we eat daily to one culture or the other)

Ø  Dressing 👗(the thing we wear)

Ø  Language (the language we speak, everyone as the tendency of speaking multiple of languages, at least 2 languages)

Ø  Marriage ( some culture adopt polygamous Marriage, nuclear marriage and other forms )

Ø  Music ( various form of Cultures and there choice of music )

Ø  Entertainment of visitors

There are 3 aspects of Cultures

v  SHARED

v  SYMBOLIZED

Nigeria as country has a lot of cultural values, the country been colonise by the British LEARNT so many European cultures from Dressing Code, food, music and so other acts. Nigeria has 250 ethnics, and 527 languages this makes it has multiple of Cultures.

Some of this cultural values are traditionally marked or celebrated annually. For example I will be writing on the following cultural elements, Nigeria’s are known for.

ü  Egungun ( masquerade )festival

ü  New yam festival

ü  Fishing festival

ü  Dance

ü  Dressing

ü  Religion (Nigeria traditional ways of worship)
