A warm start to the day after the heavy rains last night. The breeze is still cool, but will lose the battle to the heat of the sun in a while. It's a very pleasant morning in spite of the elements battling for control.

Have you ever used a typewriter? I used to have one at home when I was a school student and it helped me complete so many school projects and submissions. I saw this typewriter on display at a restaurant and it brought back so many memories. Just pressing the keys felt so nostalgic!! #nostalgia #childhood
I went out to the balcony earlier than usual and caught the sun before it had risen. We had heavy rains last night and the ground has lots of puddles. But the skies have cleared up. It's pleasant now. The afternoons are quite hot and a little humid and it cools down (by local standards) for the night.
If they spam your WhatsApp, at least they should do a spell check. How bad is a bady massage, i wonder....
Google pay is a very popular online, app based payment method in India. It's easy to send and receive money between users in an instant. When the service started, there would be plenty of reward bonuses for every transaction. Even though it was only a few rupees, it encouraged people to adopt this method of payment more often. Although it is still very convenient, the rewards have almost disappeared. They give you a scratch card for every transaction but I've not won…
There was a heavy downpour overnight. I was woken up at 1 am with a loud clap of thunder. The morning is cloudy and cool and the sun is not able to penetrate the cloud cover as it rises. Let's see what the rest of the day holds for us.
And that's the good thing about having a colleagues birthday - cake that sometimes comes along. This has a butterscotch flavour and was yummy - the perfect sugar kick I needed at mid day!
Who's up for some word play. 'So grilled to see you'. Saw this in a gas station on a highway a couple of weeks ago. They had a little store and cafe where we grabbed some coffee and snacks. This little poster on the wall brought a smile to our faces. I'm grilled to see all of you here at noise
There was very little rain overnight and the clouds have thinned out a bit. I like the interesting, almost vertical, and dark cloud in front of the sun. It looks unique - can't really predict if it will rain today, but it is a touch warmer in the morning.
The rains have been fun, but has some downsides. My son uses canvas shoes for sports in their rules and managed to really dirty his shoes in puddles and rains yesterday. Now I have to clean it and dry it before tomorrow. So i scrubbed it a little and chucked it in the washing machine. And now it's out in the sun under the fan waiting to dry. It's started raining again in the evening. Let's hope it dries.
1 am at the railway station is eerie and yet nostalgic. There is a train parked in the centre track that is completely dark. Lights highlight some of the spots at the platform and puddles remain from the rain a few hours ago. There is a train rooting as it enters. Life goes on for the 100s of passengers travelling...
We had heavy rains last evening and the clouds and the puddles were thick and vast this mornng. Thankfully it didn't rain when I went to the railway station past midnight to pick up my in-laws. Yesterday's rains were quite heavy and flooded the roads, but they drained in a few hours. Let's see what today holds.
Well, jungletv shows no signs of stopping. It's now been playing continuously for more than 80 days. The flow of banano ranges from a slow trickle to occasional large bursts. Grab some while you can for free. There's some fun music, weird stuff, interesting stuff and more. And the chatroom is as loud as ever.
I always thought that portulaca loved the hot sun, but it looks like they thrive better in rain and some sunlight. This plant is quite fragile, but after the spell of rains last week, has been blooming out more flowers. You can see the pale bud, waiting for the sun to rise so that it can blossom and another flower from yesterday still opened. There are a handful of buds that will hopefully open over the weekend.
Is there ever such a thing as too much chocolate? It all started in July when my brother and sister visited us from the US. Obviously there was an abundance of chocolates given. And then my in laws returned from a Europe trip and added to the chocolate heist. And to top it all, 2 family friends visited us from the UK and ..... you guessed it right..... gave us chocolates. Today's heist was Ferrero Rochers. I'm going to be sick of chocolates soon!!
I definitely hate hcaptcha the most. It's tough proving you're a human to them. This new captcha adds to the 'I hate captcha' list. Are they testing my fine motor skills, artistic skills or just annoying me?
Thought I'd do some late night noising, but the site seems terribly slow. I'm not sure if this post will get published! The pages are taking so long to load and the pictures barely show. Even tipping takes a much longer time than before. There are no errors or timeouts - just crawling speed!! Are you also facing this issue now?
It intermittently drizzled yesterday and the clouds are still thick in the morning. Everything is wet, but not soaked. The weather is pleasant and the nights are windy. Let's hope the weekend is good.
I made myself some lovely coffee and got down to visiting a few sites on my phone when the captcha threw this at me. I was confused and took a careful sip of what is brewed... definitely coffee. CAPTCHA got it wrong..... again. That's because captcha is not human.
There's usually a notification whenever you get free tips that you can give away. But this is the first time I got a notice saying I have 0.00 free tips to give away. And yes. After many hours it's still the same!!
Kunafa prawns anybody? This is the first time I have tried this. It's beautifully served with each prawn in a little shot glass with sauce. There's some kunafa around and the flavour of the prawn with the sauce is lovely. This was a very impressive dish!!
It's been a pleasant weekend with little rain and cloudy days. The morning is great too - the sun looks lazy and there's one ominous cloud threatening rain. I wonder if we will more rain this week.
Do you know what this is? It's an old radio. The buttons on the top change the channel or frequency. We had SW (short wave) and MW (medium wave). The little knowns on the side on the front could be rotated to tune in to your favourite channel if you knew the frequency. The scale displayed the frequency as an analogue guage. Still remember the squeaks and howls that came as we turned the radio till we scrolled to the exact frequency. I saw this displayed in a restaurant with…
The portulaca on my balcony is frail, but still surviving. When I leave in the morning, I can see only the buds. By the time I return in the evening, the flower has bloomed and then closes again. But I got to see the full bloom on Saturday as i return in the afternoon. Here it is looking out of the balcony ledge onto the sun!!
Bits and pieces in the early morning skies. Some clouds, some cloud, a little sun, some shadows and bits of colors as the sun gets ready to rise. There's been no rains now and it's a touch warmer. The nights and early mornings are nice and cool.
I miss Australian beaches. Some of them are wonders of nature. This was has a sand rock formation that is soooooo cool. Could spend hours just chilling in a place like this. This was over 8 years ago. I hope I get a chance again.
With the rains ceasing, the days are hotter. It will be 37 degrees celsius today! The mornings are not as hot as the May summer mornings, but i miss the cool breeze. I hope we have another spell of rains soon.
And now hcaptcha thinks only a human being can spot whether a lion has its eyes closed or not. First it was dogs and now lions. I wonder if they went on a safari and clicked all these pictures. Or maybe they just got them off the internet. Hope they are not copyrighted.
Saw this motorbike in a hospital parking lot. My eyes almost popped out at every cringeworthy line written on it!! Scary to Marry: Does he mean he is scared or he is so scary, that nobody is willing to marry him. Mom says only B Sc Nurse: (with a grammatical error). Looks like there is some pressure to marry a nurse. And he tops it all by putting a cross symbol on it all! I wonder what he ends up doing.
As the sun gets warmer, the blue in the sky is increasing and the could cover is scuttling away. We are back to temperatures close to 40 degrees Celsius, but the heat is mainly at midday. The nights are still coolish.
Will the rise in BCH cross 150$? It came close to it yesterday. I'd love BCH to go to 200$ by the end of this year, but knowing crypto volatility, this is unlikely. What do you think? Will BCH cross 150 this month and hit 200 this year? #crypto #bch
It's cool outside, but the house is warm indoors. I wonder why. The cloud cover is more today than yesterday. Temp will still hit about 38 degrees Celsius. We have a mega event today and tomorrow and I hope it doesn't rain, and it doesn't get toooooo hot. Wish we could control the weather on important days like this.
A well designed lamp or light can make any room feel warmer and more beautiful. This was the light above us at a restaurant and it was very pretty. It added a soft glow of light and a lot of character to the room. #unedited #originalcontent
The sun is back up and the clouds are snoozing. August seems to be a neither here nor there kind of weather. As long as there is some cool breeze in the mornings and the sun doesn't burn me down, I'm happy.
I like the way these steps on the local railway station have been painted with community and social messages that will help make the environment and life more positive. They are posted in English and the local language. It's a bit worn down, but does keep the staircase colorful too.
And the weather continues to fluctuate. It's cloudier and cooler than yesterday. The mornings are still cool. These don't look like rain clouds and as so I won't expect rain today. I wonder when the next spell of rains will be.
We dropped into a bakery this evening after a short evening program and were greeted by this site - yummy isn't it nspent a little time having cake and mousse and lava cake and bought some fresh baked items for home. Who doesn't like dropping into a bakery.
Cloudy yesterday and sunny today. This is in spite of the rain that was there last evening. The birds flying across don't seem to care much about the weather. August throws us something new at us every day, but it's been good fun. I'd like a little bit more order in my life!
There is a canal of water that flowers behind our campus and it is perenielly full of sludge and dirt. People throw garbage into it and the place stinks. The city council seems to have finally woken to this disaster and have finally started clearing it. Hope the people around stop dumping garbage in it.
Apologies to all my noise friends - I've been liking your posts and also replying to some. I'm not able to freetip you for some reason for almost a week now. I'll see how this weekend goes.
We accidentally ended up having a banana tree in our little garden patch. After a couple of years, it's grown week inspite of minimal caring. This week it gave us the first yield of bananas. Some have already started ripening and they are really yummy and full - much better than the ones we get at the market or in shops.
If you're a member of coinpayu, don't forget to claim upto 800 Satoshi with the catch a cat game. "HappyWeekends" Is the code and you can visit their site to claim it. I got 80 Satoshi. The sun wins again this morning. There was no rainfall last night. The day is staring off with a warm morning and at noon it will be over 35 degrees Celsius. It's the weekend, but I'm working on both days. We also have a couple of family social engagements that I hope go on well. The kids will have fun!
And bitcoincash takes another tumble. From close to 150 a week ago, it's now almost ready to hit 100 again. It's barely able to hold at 110. Time to accumulate again? Noise was my main source of BCH and that's almost dried up. I'm just using some faucets and ptcs to earn a few BCH satoshis. Time to cashout at faucetcrypto even though I have very few coins. #bch #bitcoincash #crypto
Dogs are canine, lions are feline. They both have canine teeth though. Knowledge is a powerful tool to earn a few Satoshi on faucetpay by helping us solve CAPTCHAs. The helpful hint with dog pictures are botworthy. I can hear the clinking of the satoshis as they drop into my wallet.
The skies are clear, but not blue and there's a streak of pretty clouds scattered to one side. It's a warm start to the day and the afternoon will be hot. But the heat is much shorter than the summer heat. The nights are a little cooler. This is an inbetween kind of weather - summer still is not fully done with us.
A near - disaster! The iron in our home caught fire and almost burnt away the inner balcony. I was at work in the weekend and my wife had switched it on to iron a few clothes. She went to the bedroom to pick the clothes up and my mom walked past and screamed out that there was a fire. The iron and the ironing board were on fire and smoke was everywhere - quickly spreading. They had the presence of mind to turn off the main power and then doused the flames. Noone was hurt and…
I tried to capture this pretty blue butterfly as it fluttered by through my friends garden and failed miserably. All I got was 2 blurred shots and then it kept flying away. Even in the blurred shots, you can make out how lovely it looks and how bright the blue is.
A pretty splattering of clouds across the sky with different textures on the left and to the right. That's a pretty morning to wake up to. The day was quite hot though The nights are also unusually warm. Let's see what this week holds.
It rained a lot last night and the clouds are thicker this morning. The peak temp this week may drop to less than 35 degrees celsius which will be welcome. There's also supposed to be rain every day. I hopenthe weekend stays sunny.
It rained last night again. The clouds in the morning tried to hide the sun and succeeded partially. It looks like it's going to be raining every evening which is a nice thing, except that on the weekend we have a program and we'd like it not to rain during the outdoor dinner. Fingers crossed.
This is what my daughter does when she plays in the play park with slides and seesaws and swings and climbing bars. She kicks off her shoes and prefers to play barefoot. It makes her feet very dirty, but probably feels better for her! Anyway, the dad in me hates the dirt, but loves her freedom. And it always ends with a bath or a foot shower when we come back home!! Fun times for both of us
There was a light drizzle last night and the skies this morning are not smothered with clouds. It's much bluer and the sun seems to be showing off its brilliance. There's a bit more of humidity than usual. The morning smells fresh. It will be a warm day.
Bitcoincash has risen a bit to around the 130 mark where it's stuck again. This looks like no man's land and it could either go back towards 100 or inch towards 150. It needs to cross 150 decisively and firmly to stand a chance at pushing towards 200 by the end of this year. Below 150, it just keeps fluctuating. #bch #bitcoincash #crypto
I woke up and had to share my coffee making moment with this little grasshopper in the kitchen. We didn't become friends and it didn't sip on my coffee. It just did its own thing. I'm sure the kitchen is not it's home and I hope if found its way out and into some garden later.
Faucetcrypto appears to be down this morning. It looks like a server error. Maybe there is some update or maintenance. Hope that it comes back up soon and that earnings etc are intact.
It rained heavily for a short time last night, but the morning is bright and clear. Just a touch of clouds in the sky and the sun is having a ball. We have a partly outdoor event this evening and hope the rain does not disrupt things.
Cancelled lunch. We had a note saying that a visiting faculty would have lunch with us at work, but I learned in the morning that the visit and the lunch were cancelled. So this is what I grabbed at canteen. Its called chicken snack - two crumb fried chicken pieces, boiled vegetables and mashed potatoes. It used to have garlic bread, but now they give toast. I chilled out with a can of mirinda. I still can't figure out if this is healthy!
It's been a weekend of being busy and getting lashed by rains. Enough rains to flood the roads. The morning has started off with a drizzle and the clouds are thick. A Monday morning start with weather like this isbthe perfect excuse to sleep in and not work. I wish.....
And #bitcoincash is like a seesaw now. Up and down and up and down. Hitting 130+ and then sliding back to 110. If it drops below 100 it will struggle, and if it crosses 150 it will surge and hopefully stay above 150 for a looooong time. Right now, it's stuck on this seesaw band!! #crypto #bch
And the mist is back. The rain was light, but the change in temperature and weather has made the hilltops to be mist-kissed!! This is a fabulous sight in the morning - perfect wake up call.
The rains and the wet weather have pushed a lot of insects indoors. I saw this funky looking bug crawling on the kitchen wall, looking a little confused. I couldn't get a clear picture, but it does look very pretty doesn't it? Does anyone know what insect this is?
The night was warm and the morning is pleasant. There was no rain overnight. There was some more mist on the hilltop today, but it was much thinner than the morning. It's a holiday for schools today on account of a festival called Ganesh Chaturthi, but i have to be at work. Hope the kids don't go crazy!
After another dip below 20000, #bitcoin is trying hard to stay over 20000. It's barely there. Dipping below 20000 is a bit worrying as it can easily slide down quickly towards 10000! If it ever reaches 10000, that will be super scary for all #btc holders.
And hCaptcha is at it again. Which of the cats have thicker fur? I wonder if there is a definition or threshold beyond which a cats fur is called thick. And only humans will know that. I guess humans just use their ability to offer personal opinion to figure this out while bots would be stumped.
