I always thought that portulaca loved the hot sun, but it looks like they thrive better in rain and some sunlight. This plant is quite fragile, but after the spell of rains last week, has been blooming out more flowers. You can see the pale bud, waiting for the sun to rise so that it can blossom and another flower from yesterday still opened. There are a handful of buds that will hopefully open over the weekend.
