Cleaning At Easter Sunday
April 17, 2022 (Sunday)
Hello, hello readcash community. Happy Easter Sunday to all of you! How did you celebrate your Easter Sunday? Are with your family in the beach or anywhere else?
Way back when I was young, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus was one of my most anticipated day of Lent. Why? Because we will be on the beach together with our neighbors. Each neighbor will bring foods and put it together in the table. We share what we can offer. It was very much enjoyable memories for us. But now, all I can do is to reminisce those days. As I grow older, those what we accustomed to started to dwindle.
My partner's family is not Catholic. Though they still celebrate the Holy Week but not as the same as Catholic. They also have egg hunting during Easter Sunday. My partner's two younger siblings woke up so early for that event. Me and my daughter woke up late as usual for we slept late also at night. We continued our morning with our everyday groove. Then, there's an event that almost depart my soul from my body. I went to our room for awhile to get something. I left my daughter at her favorite chair for she was watching movies. I was confident to left her for her father was in the kitchen. When I went back, my daughter was already missing on her chair. I asked my partner but he has no idea where our daughter is. I got worried and hurriedly went outside for our front door was open. When I got outside, I saw my daughter few steps away from the open gate. I quickly run to get her without anything under my sleeveless and see through blouse. Oh boy! I almost had a heart attack. I asked her why she went outside and she just said "nanay". Maybe she saw someone and mistakenly thought that it was her grandmother.
At afternoon, my partner decided to clean our yard. The grasses grew fastly during the rainy days. He borrowed his father's bolo to cut the small stems of the burdocks. After pulling the grasses and vines, he planted the red bell pepper seeds which he set aside every after cooking. While me on the other hand, put my daughter to sleep for her noontime nap. It took me more than two hours before she fell asleep. I also took a quick nap and when I woke up, I helped my partner cleaning the yard. When our daughter woke up, she also helped us though she was just playing the pulled grasses. I just let her enjoy playing and roam around the yard. She has no one to play with since her cousins were already teenagers. After we finished cleaning, we ate a little snacks to pamper our hunger tummies. Nakakagutom maglinis.
After taking our snacks we proceeded to our afternoon stroll routine. We hiked to our favorite spot which is the rice field. We stayed there for a few minutes and enjoyed the fresh air. My daughter enjoyed watching the carabaos and even waving her hands while saying hi. When the sky was getting dark, we decided to go home to prepare for our dinner. My partner asked me to watch the "Don't Look Up" movie. He got curious about this movie when the scientist rebellion got viral. So, he downloaded the said video early this morning. We will watch it this evening before we go to sleep.
That's how our Easter Sunday went. We are still happy with our normal day. How about you? How's your day went? Come tell us. *insert Vice Ganda's voice*๐
