What makes women push to take abortion?

Why women comes to a point that they choose to abort the baby inside thier womb rather than let them live and witnessed this world?

I have watch a statement of Attorney Louie Espiritu regarding why people do abortion and he said some of the reason is poverty. I will not elaborate his who statement but one of the part of his statement is that. Women choose to do abortion because of poverty. Ofcourse we understand his point like some women choose it because they can't afford to feed another member of the family. Another one that he mentioned is rape like women who are a victim of rape will do abortion. He even included that many people died because of unsafe abortion because here in the Philippines abortion is illegal.

Then I asked myself if it's really the poverty why abortion is getting bigger and bigger? It's really the rape why women do abortion?

As I am reading the comments of the said post I read one of the comments about teenage pregnancy , premarital sex and unplanned pregnancy and I agree with him.

I have witnessed women who commit abortion and thier reasons is belong to these three.

Story no. 1

Way back on my high school days I heard my friends praying and I asked them why they are praying the prayer. I have no idea why they did that and they started opening it to me. One of our friend do abortion on our high school days. I was shocked because I can't imagine that she will do that. I asked them why she did that and they said she's afraid that her mother knows about it. Her mother is a single mom and working abroad and she's afraid that she will disappoint her mother from letting the baby live because we were in high school that day.

Story no. 2

I am working in Manila when my college friend asked me if I can buy a medicine for abortion in Baclaran because she's pregnant. She is a graduating student that time and her boyfriend is a married man and they didn't expect that she will be pregnant. I refused to buy those medicine because I don't want to be an accessories for the sin but like on my the first story she want abortion because of the situation. Not poverty , no teenage pregnancy but because of the situation. She has lot of dreams in the future and that baby in her tummy is not part of it.

Story no. 3

This story is all about poverty maybe but I am not sure. So after 8 years Marites became pregnant again. It was unexpected because she is taking pills that time and they don't want to have a baby but still she became pregnant. Here in the province there's a lot of hearsay that there's a plant that helps you to abort the baby. They called it serpentina. It has a super bitter taste. She boiled it with water and drink it hoping that her baby will be aborted but its not. Then she didn't continue it and gave birth to the baby. The baby is 10 years old now and he's kinda slow like what her mother said. Then sometimes her mother told us pinalaglag ko kasi dati yan kaya Ganyan.
