Good evening guys. Today I decided to write an entry on Hive under the Ladies of Hive community. There's two set of questions and I choose this one.
If we were to visit you, what is the one "must-do" in your hometown?
Would it be something to eat, a place to visit, a person to meet, or something else?
I live in Cabiao Nueva Ecija. It is located in Central Luzon and our province is the Rice Granary of the Philippines. Cabiao is located after Arayat Pampanga. Through the years our simple hometown keeps on getting better and better. Though our hometown is not yet tag as city yet but the vibes of our hometown is like already in the city because of the new establishment that build from time to time. Before there's no fastfood chain , supermarket and other businesses here but now those are accessible and you don't need to go on the city just to eat on the jollibee or go to savemore.
If you will visit me in our hometown the first thing I will do is to serve you fresh vegetables and our fermented rice. I will also serve fresh carabao milk on the breakfast because this is one of the products of Nueva Ecija. Because our hometown is rice granary of the Philippines there's a lot of carabaos here.
Carabaos milk is best serve with hot rice and dried fish.
Theres also store here wherein they are selling products that are made with carabaos milk like pastillas made with carabaos milk and cake with a pastillas frosting. The name of the store is Ayings pastillas and it is very famous in Nueva Ecija. Their main store is located in San Fernando Sur Cabiao Nueva Ecija but they have other branch in Nueva because of the demand.
Another store that I will recommend to you is the chef G's kitchen. It is located in Sta. Rita Cabiao Nueva Ecija and the food there is delicious and yet affordable. They have best sellers which is the Halo Halo, fresh lumpia and palabok. Every since the store open like a couple of years ago the taste of thier food didn't change that's why I always crave for this food especially thier fresh lumpia. The fluppy egg wrapper plus the crunchiness of the that really suits to the peanut sauce.
After the foodtrip maybe you want some fresh air and feel the vibes of the province. There's a place in our hometown wherein you can see the view of mount Arayat while watching the sunsetting down. It's in the Sta. Isabel Bridge located in Sta. Isabel Cabiao Nueva Ecija. A lot of people visited this place especially the bikers or the people who just want to breath some fresh air.
And there's another place where you can watch the sunset and at the same time you can do picnic and boating. It is located in San Antonio Cabiao Nueva Ecija but people call this place pantalan because boat are parked here. It's not a tourist spot and it's not develop. It's just a simple river but you know I found peace in here. Everytime I am stress and anxious I just asked my husband that I want to go there and breath some fresh air and watch the river.
This tree house is once one of the best attraction here in our hometown but unfortunately after the election this project who started by the former mayor did not continue but still this tree house is in the place and you go there but you will need to walk on a grassy and muddy road. This is called Kalikasan Village and it's located in San Carlos Cabiao Nueva Ecija.
And lastly after we finished eating and going to the place in Cabiao I will show you one of the famous gotohan here. It's good to eat there at night especially when the weather is called. This is a rice porridge and you can eat unlimited for only 25 pesos.
Cabiao has lot more to offer but for me this is the best because it's based on my experience. All the photos are mine 😊
Naku Yen, nagutom lang ako sa mga picture dito lalo na yu sa palabok, hahahahaha.. Sa foods na talaga ako nakatutok eh
