Discouragement can't stop you from going.

Each of us feel discouraged. It is a part of being a human being. It occurs because of different circumstances in life. Sometimes we feel bad and sometimes we feel so good. That's part of life.

Disappointment , failure and discouragement were part of our lives. These serves as our life lessons and life realization at some points. We can learn through those things and we can also realized that we can lessen to feel those if we learn to be positive in life.

Here are some tips that you can do if in case you feel them.

-Don't expect to much

Expecting too much can caused discouragement. When our expectations didn't happen and became unreal. Most of the time our expectations seems hard to happen but don't feel discouraged about it. The reality is that expectation can hurt you. I've been there. Learn to wait. You need to be patient and everything will be done in its own time. I remember the post of Laurenceuuu in noise.cash and leejhen commented on it saying he just need to be patient πŸ™‚Just relax and don't expect to much.

-Failure doesn't exist. Education does.

Everytime we failed , the next thing to happened is that will be discouragement but I want you to know that failure doesn't exist. We only give meaning to our action thats why we called it failure. If we didn't get the outcome of what we want we conclude that it was already a failure. Don't think of that way , instead make a new plan on how to achieved your wants. It's like a lesson learned to us. Educating us in every decision we have made.

-Focus on what you want.

If time comes that we feel discouraged, think of our dreams and wants. Think about what your wants. How will you feel if those dreams came true? How is important to you to make it in reality? Once you visualized your thoughts on your dream I am sure that you will be empowered.

-Ego has no room for development.

Ego is the main reason why we feel discouragement. We should control our ego. We are more powerful that our ego. When we learn to do this we are actually heading on our development. When we are open to recieved and hear feedback and constructive criticism, we are already on our way of self growth. When we are thinking that we are growing, then we will not be discouraged.

-Stop comparing yourself to others

Focusing on other people's achievement? That's a sure reason of discouragement. We saw their success, skills and status and from there we also see the things and qualities that we don't have. We questioned ourselves why I am not like them? To be honest I experienced this a couple of days ago but instead of thinking it over and over I decided to be positive. I told myself that each of us were different and we all have different talents and fortes in life. Hearing a success story is somehow encouraging but if you didn't feel that same way then you just need to focus on your own.

-Dont think of the rewards, just give your best.

If we always think of the reward that we will going to recieved from doing something, we are only putting ourselves to discouragement. Our action should be the reward itself. When we learn to do that, we will have happiness and the happiness from the heart means free from discouragement. When we no longer need someone else to noticed that we did a good job , thats freedom to focus on what you want to do.

-Choose to be happy.

Do you have any rules on how to be happy? What will happened if we feel successful? Do we have control to this? If not, we are just putting ourselves to failure. If I told myself that I need to feel something when thinking of success. what if I didn't feel it? That's the reality sometimes, we are living with rules that are not in our control. It's like putting your happiness into that rules. Why not choose to be happy without any rules?

-Surround yourself with right people .

People who are with you always has a big factor to feel discouragement. It is more worst when those people are your family or love ones. If we always engaged with negative people and feel sorry to ourselves, we can also be like them. We cannot remove our family to our lives but we can go outside our home and find positive people with the same passion. Start to surround yourself with right people just like #Club1BCH πŸ™‚. If you do it , you will also be like them.

-Breath some fresh air.

Going outside , breathing fresh air has an effect to our feelings. When we are feeling down we just need to go outside and breath. Meditate , free your mind , appreciate the nature's beauty. Go for a walk , run or simply sit in the park. You will feel better after that.

-Talk to your mentor.

Our mentor is the one who can give is an advice when we are not okay. When you feel discouraged, you can asked your mentor for a talk or to have a coffee with you. Since they are mentors they are good at giving advice and wisdom and encouraging thoughts to someone.

-Mind map

This is just a simple exercise that's will need our creativity. In a white piece of paper you need to write all the things that you want to happened or achieved. Then create a map on how we can achieved it. Connect those map and the things that you want to achieved. This is just a simple exercise to remove the discouragement.

-Find someone who can help you.

In the church , we called it accountability partner. It is where you will help one other to achieved goals. Reminding each other on what to do and encouraged one another to be more better. Discouragement has no room if we doing it on behalf of other people. If we are not focusing on ourselves , we never feel discouragement.
