For us , DIY is the best. We more appreciate it that buying gifts on stores. Even on our son's birthday , we choose DIY because it's more cheap and it's more appreciative for us.
This is not the first time that I do a DIY gift for him and it is not also the first time that I recieved a DIY gift for him.
Today I decide to make a DIY strawberry cake for him. We don't have oven and tools for baking but I did my very best to make a decent cake 😅
Yesterday my sister brought some strawberries and they didn't want to eat it because it's a little sour so I decided to make a strawberry cake with chocolate ganache.
The first thing I did is I blend some strawberries with evaporated milk. I prepare one cup of cake flour, 2 eggs , sugar, oil and 1 tablespoon of baking powder. I mixed all the ingredients and this is what looks like
Since we don't have oven , I used a big caserole to bake the batter with low heat. You need to cook it for about one hour. Use toothpick to know if is cooked already. While waiting for the batter to cook, I prepare the ganache. The ingredients for ganache is evaporated milk, sugar , Hershey cocoa powder, slurry and oil. Cooked it in a low heat until the ganache become thick enough. Set it aside an let it cool. When the cake is cooked you can now put the ganache into the cake and put different designs.
Since I have no piping bag. I used plastic bag as an alternative. Making cake is not easy. You need a dedication to make it look good.
See my work 😅 It was messy but I am happy because I made it with love ♥️
I put some designs on top. I bought some frutos candy and formed it as a letter and heart shape.
Here's the finished product of my no Bake strawberry chocolate cake ♥️
Happy Valentine's Day to all ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
