Humiliation (Part 2)
"Is he your uncle?", one of her friends asked her with curiosity looking at her escort and she forced a fake smile as a reply. Class is about to restart so many students already are gathered outside the classroom door. They are all waiting for their adviser to arrive to open the door for them to enter.
She squirmed as she saw her adviser is coming. Her escort exchanged greetings with her teacher as she gave the key to one of her classmates and then approached them after the whole group entered the classroom except her.
She could tell that her teacher senses something is wrong by the way she looked at her and her escort.
She heard the escort made an introduction right away while she's occupied with other thoughts twisting her fingers and curling her toes. After a few seconds, she heard her teacher shrieked and when she lift her head her teacher was already in front of her with hands frozen in the air in a motion that she was about to be tugged by the hair.
After a few more seconds she can hear the commotion around her. Murmurs are so loud and seem to make her ears explode. She wanted to run yet she remains standing wishing the ground will engulf her and vanish from that spot. She can understand the way they are whispering to one another while they glance that they are mocking her from the corner of her eyes.
"Be thankful you are not my daughter, I might have slapped you at this very moment !" Her teacher shouted at her." I despise you for being my student.! She added.
She was mortified. No one can convey her emotions at that time. "Call your parents tomorrow, I want to talk to them." She suddenly raised her head and look at her teacher, she wanted to plead with her not to call for her parents but realizing that it's impossible, she peered down once more After a few more talks with her escort, he left and her teacher motioned all of her classmates to go back to their classroom. Even the neighboring class we're distracted and was with the crowd also.
Everyone entered the room but her classmates continued to chatter. Humor began to spread. They think that she is accountable for every missing money and things inside their classroom. She felt resentment towards them, she wanted to yell at them for being so judgemental but she can't do it. When she proceeded to her seat, she was held by the hands of her seatmate. When she met her eyes, she saw sympathy in it. This made her cry, her rage began to melt. Somehow there is one person she finds sympathetic from the people inside this classroom.
Her teacher was left outside chatting with the other teachers. She knows what they are talking about. She can't wait for this class to end. She wanted to be alone. Her mind is full of anxieties that she wanted to flee to a place where no one can recognize her. After the dismissal, her teacher wrote a letter and gave it to one of her classmates who lived near their area. It was addressed to her mom!

original comment jb83 Why should the teacher react that way! It's a pity for the child. There's a proper way to address it so that the child will not be humiliated. I bet there's a negative impact on that to the child. .. following.. i tottaly agree on this.
