The chocolate

"How old is she?", a man in his 40's asked the person who is holding her elbow as they went into a room that resembles an office to her. There are 2 other more youthful men around about in their 20's. They are generally arranging a few papers. They are altogether strangers to her. HerΒ  "handler" left after a couple of talks with the moderately aged man. She learned that her handler was the one who saw her doing the "thing" several times, he works inside that store also. A mole.

She could hear one of the men muttered a few words asking her age.

"10"… that is everything she can say.

"She's mature enough". The man in his 40's answered generally.

" Let her fill this paper". He directed pushing a bit of white paper to the man adjacent to her.

"Would you be able to write?", he asked her. What a dumb inquiry she thought, regardless of the dread she is feeling inside. She's in a star class but then she was inquired as to whether she does can write? However, this isn't the ideal opportunity for bragging. She held her breath as she began to write of her whereabouts in the paper with her shaking hands. She felt marking a death wish.

Taking a look at the name of her father she just printed, a tear began to fall from her eyes. She couldn't have cared less about her mom. She blamed her for the circumstance she's in. If only she's not so severe and selfish and give her much she required possibly she won't do such a disturbing thing and be in this sort of situation. The rebellion began to develop in her heart. How devastating it might be for her dad in the event that he discovered that his daughter was found taking in a retail establishment! Her heart abruptly hurt. Presently she's upset for what she has done. If only she can turn back the time. But in the other part of her mind, a fire is burning.

In the wake of finishing the papers, she was approached to stand up and face the camera holding a bit of green board. She can hear even a single click of the device. Two or three flashes she doesn't care. Her name printed intensely in it. That second she felt like a criminal condemned to death. She felt powerless and she knows from that moment she's doomed. She needed somebody to comfort her but at that point by looking around her, they don't look friendly at all.

Her brain is skimming once more. She felt alone sitting in that hard stool. What's next? Will she be sent to jail now? The men are talking again with one another and occasionally giving her quick glances. A minute passed when one of the men gestured to her motioning her to stand and guided her outside. They are venturing down the steps. She feels everybody is taking a look at her when in actuality they are on the whole occupied with their groceries. They met the security officer again and this time she can't remain to take a look at him once more.

She saw they are walking a similar way she just walked an hour ago. Where are they heading? Questions whirls in her brain once more. She wanted to ask her "escort". Funny, she figured escorts should perfect suitor in fairytales she's attached to viewing. However, in her situation it's different.

At that point comes the realization that they are making a heading for her school!

Barely any meters from the school gate she felt her feet shaking once more. Her stomach is lurching inside that she needed to upchuck.

Her friends! Faces of the girls smiling at her and admiring her began to turn ugly. They are largely jeering and lips turning and eyebrow-raising around her. Oh, how she wanted to run! Maybe she can remove her escorts' hand on her shoulder and run. But wait! They all have her information already. The world started to crumble around her while they continue their steps and getting closer and closer to the gate.

I don't know about others but I can't help but to partly blame the parents of this child. I hate parents who can barely send their children to school. I hate them for letting their children experience extreme poverty to the point that their children will think about doing something against the norms just because they are poor. From the very start, they already know that they are poor so they should've thought about what will happen in the future before they started to build a family. They should've thought about their children's welfare. I view such parents as selfish creatures, they only think about their pleasure and whatsoever. No offense meant po sa mga parents dyan, this is just personal views and opinions of a daughter.

Yeah, you have a point there sis. But at some other point too, lots of people today are married by mistake. I know of some parents that married young, they don't know their responsibility and the needs of their children. There are others that after marriage they carried their obligations responsibly despite their young age. But I also knew some matured ones should be matured also to take care of their children but they don't act like one. However, being poor is not a hindrance to show that you love your kids. In the situation of the girl in my story, she was like a chicken that was left to feed herself in that school. Her mother thought that she has provided her enough. That's the negative effect of not visiting your children in school for updates about her behavior and activities. They should be monitored sometimes and will be asked about their schooling, their wants, and their problems when they get home.

It's still her fault for not checking on her daughter. And yes, children should always be monitored by their parents. Sending them to school is not enough, they should monitor how their children does in school, that's why they always have that parents-teachers meeting. Sad to say, here in the Philippines, especially in Public schools parents have this wrong notion that whenever they have those meetings they'll just discuss about school projects and fees πŸ˜‚ Moreover, parents can't really find out how their children are doing, how they act and what they feel towards certain things because they can't get all these infos from the teacher since the teacher doesn't have her eyes fixed on these kids all the time. So it is also vital for parents to have a hearty talk with their children which means they are willing yo listen amd lovingly correct their kids if needed. Beating up and hurtful words will never help.

What you said is all correct sister. And I agree that about parent-teacher meetings, it's not about the child's performance the topic for the meeting but about projects and fees🀣. We can have a one on one meeting with the adviser if we really are interested in our child's welfare. So with the child, it's good to be being a friend to them so they can be comfortable expressing their feelings.😊

Absolutely right. Parents should try to build a friendly atmosphere between them and their child instead of building a thick wall that makes them seem hard to reach and for children to feel that it's impossible to confide to them.

That is what I'm doing with my kids. I want them to be close to us their parents. I am not building a barrier but a curtain to let them know that no matter how close we are there are points that we don't stand the same level to prevent them from abusing such privilege. 😁

Yeah As a child she's weak to control everything. We, old ones commit mistakes also even we know more about what is good and bad.

A debt of gratitude is in order for sharing a story that shows our existence about mortification obviously in such a small kid and as of now doing things yet then I surmise envy is a key to so numerous minor wrongdoings. The guardians probably thought they were doing a quite alright activity yet then there's so numerous rivh kids in the top classes however. I'm actually hanging tight for you to proceed with this. Continue composing dear. I respect you.

I highly appreciate you for respecting the girl's flaws. My kids are enrolled in a small public school and yet during parent-teacher meetings, issues on pupils stealing their classmates' things are present. How much more in a big school. A parent must be updated about their children's' activity in school. Others might be overconfident that their kid is doing good but they need something that a parent doesn't know.😊

I got your point dear. Parents must be always responsible & accountable in their kids however all actions by individual is accountable by its own. I admire you as being courageous mom at all. Hope that God bless you and your parenting. More power sis

Oof such a young child and already doing things like that ;;-;; but then i guess envy is a key to so many minor crimes

Yes. Envy started it all. At her young age, she is longing for a little comfort. An additional penny for a piece of bread or candy will do. But her mother didn't provide her with that. She thinks sending her daughter to school is enough and don't check if what will she be doing during break time.

Well if the child was at a top class. The parents must have thought they were doing a pretty okay job but then there's so many rivh kids in the top classes though. I'm still waiting for you to continue this tbh. I'm curious about the kid πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Yeah maybe.. She's doing good because she has a good mentor also (her dad) . I will include that in the next one.

There are some with bitchy characters also in the star class section. πŸ˜…πŸ€« In that classroom with 40+ students, only 5 of them are poor. The rest are from average families and up.

See, so i wouldn't even be surprised with the envy she has for her own classmates. They're well of and their parents can afford the extra. Are her friends even the good kind

Yeah. Maybe. Some of them. Others are just showing off when they are just even the same as her level.
