Human rights pertain to moral principles or norms for standards of human behaviour and one regularly protected by law. (Wikipedia)

It is the basic rights and freedom that belong to every person from birth until death and doesn't choose whether what race you came from and what standard of living you have.

This right will forever a person possess and these rights are all based on shared values like dignity, fairness, equality, respect and independence.

The Philippines' present situation regarding human rights is on the verge of limbo. Two different parties we're having different views and perspective about the issue of how human rights are being dealt with.

In my part, I noticed that human rights are being abused and used as an excuse to cover up the crime commited by the criminal. May it be on the right side or the wrong side.

As you can see, in every situation, there is always a rule to follow. Inside your home, there are certain regulations set by your parents for the whole family to have a peaceful household and avoid conflicts. Even a simple house chores, parents make schedules for the children to follow so that every task will be distributed equally and make the loads lighter. This is just a simple instance of having rules to follow. Some rules are meant to be created by our parents for the sake of our security and welfare. It has to be heavy so that everyone must abide. To make it more solid, a punishment would be set as a foundation of the rules that were formulated. If no retribution being set, the rule is just a mere piece of the word without value. However,in every situation, we have the right to defend ourselves before we are punnished. Our voice should be heard.

Now regarding human rights in our country, same situation from the example I states above. We all have the right to live the way we want to but not to the extent of abusing the law. However, others aren't satisfied with the way they live and violates the law implemented and commit crimes, stealing, murdering innocent people and destroying others lives. When that individual was caught or even being killed for his crime, people protest for human eights violation disregarding the cause for his death. The law authorities are being blamed for the casualty the criminal has done. One of the problems our country is facing is drugs and graft and corruption. Our government has established a war on drugs since it has the greatest rate our country is encountering. It has cleaned up offices with corrupt officials. The overall result is extraordinary. It never happened before in our country's history. The worst war in the Philippines about war or drugs that involved government officials, high profiled or low it doesn't matter.

However, in some operations about the war on drugs, it involve innocent children during the operations. High percentage of cases also were recorded about the situation wherein children were either killed or present during raids done by law officers. The suspects allegedly fought back so they were shot. Family members were left in agony and suffers from bullying from neighbors and in school for having a drug user or pusher head of the family.

Here are some situations that shows human right is viewed differently.

Imagine a vendor whose son is ill. He went outside to buy food supplies with his limited collection from his sales for the whole day but was confronted by a drug user and tried to steal away his little money. Since it was intended for his ill son, he fought for it that caused his death. Now he won't have any money left but also a lifeless father. People fighting for human rights are silent.

A day after, the same situation happened in one of the alleys. One passerby was a policeman and he responded to a robbery situation. The criminal was an 18-year-old young kid and was accidentally killed by the policeman because he fought back and don't want to surrender. People fighting for human rights are so loud looking for justice for the death of the young kid.

In a raid, a policeman included a young man that they mistook of a drug pusher when in fact he is just a bystander, the innocent lad was surprised so he reacted and tried to ran away, he was shot dead. When the operation was done, they included him in the list of the criminals. Families shout out for justice but no responce since people involved in drug operations are considered law violators. Human rights violated.

So,in these scenarios can you see the different views on human rights? Human rights are to be used in legal ways not to use as a weapon to do unlawful acts and seek justice afterwards.

Deviants and criminals in our country are being punished accordingly. I don't disagree with the way it was put up. We all know that we have such rules and regulations implemented in the first place. But as our government are solving the crime that surges up every second, and found out that the law was disregarded, they impose a more harsh punishment to let the nation know that a law is a law and learn their lesson. Being a criminal is showing that you don't have respect for our country and for your parents who brought you up into this world.

To make the story short, If you don't want to be punished, obey the rules. Obey the rules so that little crime shouldn't lead to death but an arrest. That is a simple 1-2-3 problem-solution to attain a peaceful country.
Yes, everyone should follow the law but at times too, the police always abuse their power and use force on everything.

"Lawmakers are Lawbreakers" This is a sad part in which we relied on our safety to the people who supposedly the ones to protects us but instead, they are the ones who harm and mistreat us.

"No one should take laws into their hands to kill a criminal. They all have a place which is jail". Thought there were laws that was implemented to law enforcers that abuse their power, it doesn't apply when no evidence presented.

Those were the problems in our country that remains unsolved and hinders the progress of our nation.

This topic is based on the day to day situations where we are watching, hearing and witnessed about how our right are being dealt with.

Thank you for your time reading.

In relation with the war on drugs, sad to say that even civilians used it to put down their enemy, the law was abused and used by opportunists.
