Unexpected Thursday trip(mountains, goats, and food)
Yesterday was a very busy day for me unexpectedly, I wasn't able to log in because I do have a unplanned trip early in the morning.
Will you agree that sometimes, we plan to go for a adventure to some places but we can't make it, but when we don't plan it, it will happen .
Early in the morning the young people in the church need to travel early to attend a gathering. There is a youth camp that is facilitated by the main church in our denomination. And as one of the elder sister of the youth, I am responsible to fetch them to the place where they should gather. I wake up so early and start preparing for our things,I and my couple friends with their daughter and my younger daughter is with me.
Here are some photos that I'll be sharing today:
MBRLC DAIRY FARM
This is the known dairy farm in our place for over 50 years, we need to have two rides before we can reach this place. Here in the photo as you can see, is my husband whose taking milk of goats, this is where he work. He used to do this every other day, we were glad to see the actual taking of milk, they just do it manually. These goats are called nubian, which produces fresh milk, and they will process it and put it on a plastic bottle and sell it. I didn't take photos of a bottled milk, because there are some restricted area. They will also accept Trainees from different places to train give overview and lecture how to raise goats and milk processing.
This is the place that I consider as a comfort zone too, because of the very nice environment and atmosphere, it's a cool place, because there are a lot of trees here, unlike in my place, which feels too hot. As you enter here, you can feel the breath of nature, calmness and feels home,a relaxation,. I didn't have a lot of pictures here because I was really focused on enjoying the view.
This is my eldest son who will attend on the youth camp, this is his first time, and I think his a little bit shy. It's his first time to sleep on other place without us. I'm happy that my son will learn to become independent that's why I'm glad to sent him here, they are almost 200+ delegates from different places. After we take a short tour, we go home.
Second trip:Attending birthday on a highlands
When we got home in the afternoon, we have remember that one of our friend is celebrating her birthday, and she invite us, my problem is, the venue is in the mountainous place. I didn't go on a mountain tain for a long time. And honestly, even if I'm living here in my place and raise for thirty years, there are some place that I didn't reach. Our trip would be like a forum of hiking too, the motorcycle cannot be able to reach the exact meeting place.
Look at the river, the water looks differently from how many years ago that I was here. The residents of this place still used this to wash their laundries, even if it's not clear.
As you can see in this photo, the road towards uphill looks likes this, there's a water the flows and the trees are in both sides, I'm afraid of snakes with this kind of place.
From the main road, we have to walk for 30 minutes to reach their farm, my daughter I the one wearing blue dress following my friend, she's very excited while walking here, but I was too slow.
Here is the view at the top, this place is full of crops like corn, bananas, coconuts, and many fruits too. They also raise chickens, turkeys, goats and pigs, it's a literally farm life mostly. People are living here away from city, and far from neighbors too.
The food
In a Filipino tradition the star of the table is the "Lechon".
They have their own pigs, everytime they have a birthday celebration, they always have Lechon, it's too expensive here nowadays, maybe this Lechon will cost around 12 k.
2.Tinibook nga manok
This is the kind of recipe, that I never tried, a whole native chicken, that is cooked as a whole. They put a lot of spices inside, and put it on a pot, with a buko juice as a soup, and lemon grass. This one taste flavorful and tender when it's cooked and it's healthy as well, native chicken has less fats.
3.Buko Salad
They also made buko salad, and we drink fresh Coco juice.
The celebration was too simple, only their families, and relatives are present, there's no other than us who have joined there because the place is in a remote place, even the smell of the food will reach no neighborhood,.
It was a tiring day of hiking, towards the the mountain but my day was fine and feel better, with all the foods and we enjoyed a lot to meet their family who are very welcoming and friendly.
This day was done when we are totally unprepared and unplanned, but it's more fun than planning without action. I left the house yesterday, that we don't even wash the dishes, and fixing our blankets, my friend and I laughed while we are walking she said to me" Ate, this is a good unplanned escapade".
My day went well yesterday, full of sweating walks and full of food as well.
These few days of my life was full u expected happenings, like hornet bites me, and now this unexpected trip.Life is really surprising.
To my sponsors, up voters, and my readers,"I appreciate it".
Enjoy your day!
That's so lovely to see all the picture. I think your son enjoyed a lot. Hahaha I like to eat this coconut also.
