Reunion in holiday season

This holiday season of Christmas day,we attend every Christmas party,whether in our workplace or in a certain group in our society.Another common happenings lately is all about "family reunion", reuniting together as a family.

There's no perfect family for me,everyone has its own flaws in character or behavior,and sometimes it can create a gap within the family,just like what happened to our family .But since my grandmother died last September,her siblings have decided to create a family reunion.

Last December 16,we attend our family reunion,and that was the first time,of gathering together without a fight or any misunderstanding happened.Im very happy to see my uncle and aunt who came from other places but they were present.It seems that after my Lola have passed away ,they felt like they need each other.It was the feeling of emptiness that they have,when their mother died,and tried to remisnice their relationship and asking forgiveness with each other.

When we talk about family,it will always be a great pleasure if we have a good relationship with each other.And it's also a great burden that we can bear if we have a family conflict.During the pandemic,we felt the needing of a family, the importance of being together and seeing each other alive.

Gladly,the restrictions were not tighten already,that's why we can have freedom to bond with each other unlike from the past Christmas time.

I can't explain it why ,but this holiday season was a perfect time gather ,and it's also a year end so we are very excited to all the preparations that we need to do.

Family reunion

Our family reunion was held here in our place,in my grandmother's native land,in the province .We prepare food for our lunch and parlor games with the kids.

Honestly ,it was the first time that we play with our cousins who lived in the city.Even if we're not kids anymore but we really enjoyed our companion together.We do have a games wherein we will get the money through a spatula,but this girl is the winner of all,she almost get all of the money.

While the rest of the counsins who were watching feel sad,hehe,me too.This was the noisiest time of the reunion,and the most exciting of all because of the money.

We're just laughing and clapping our hands while my aunt and uncle were dancing cha-cha.They were both likes to dance ever since,they are the coolest people who seems like a mellenials.

The food is second to the important thing that we prepare,it's all very delicious prepared by my cousins.As filipinos we always like to have a lechon on the table.

More than material things like food and money for the expenses,there are some important things to be prepared.

1.Willingness

This reunion was planned many years ago but it was never succeeded,only for this year that we have finally made it.Other relatives have said many alibi and reasons why do they cannot attend because of their work,business and other important matters.

Only for this year,and with the very long time that we didn't see each other since pandemic,I think we feel to miss each other,At first,they were not willing to attend but as my auncle called his brothers and sisters they have attend the reunion.

2.Cooperation

This happened not just because of the older relatives that started but also with all the grandchildren were very active to make it happened.Everyone was cooperating with the said plan,without cooperation,it won't be possible.

3.Heart

Why do I include the heart here?It's because sometimes we can't avoid that there are some family members that we don't like to be with,and it feels like awkward.That's why we need to be willing to get together with them wholeheartedly for the sake of the family.We might not enjoy the whole time if our heart is not open and forgiving,it might just makes us feel miserable and tired.

My day with the family ends happily and everyone is going home with a peaceful heart and a good relationship,I just hope that it will be done next year.

A family that bonds together,will be closer to each other.
