Flamingos are mostly found in Africa . They are graceful long-legged fellas who are very much social creatures. They're range of bright pink colors easily catches our eyes. So fancy, and I'm pretty sure you picture them with elegance. But flamingos aren't really born pink.
First, let's break a myth, flamingo egg yolks aren't pink, it's yellow like a normal chicken egg yolk and definitely flamingo chicks aren't pink. They're either white or grey. So what's makes them pink then?
Flamingos develop this coloration due to their diet. The specific pigment in the algaes and invertebrates that they eat, which is a natural pink dye,the one responsible for the flamingos' elegant hue.
Simply defines the expression "you are what you eat".
Here's another fun fact, flamingo poop is pink. And that's a definition of fancy but disgusting. Undeniably though, flamingos are real beauty.
P.S.
