It's important to avoid grammatical errors in order to come up with a nice written piece. So, here are some things to check on your written work.
1. Take a look at your subject-verb agreement.
If the subject of your sentence is singular, the verb should also be singular. And if the subject of your sentence is plural, the verb should also be plural.
Example:
Incorrect: One of the most spectacular displays on Earth are the Aurora borealis.
Coreect: One of the most spectacular displays on Earth is the Aurora borealis.
2. Check your introductory element, maybe it's missing a COMMA.
A comma gives the reader a slight pause when reading your written piece and avoids the havoc when using an introductory word, phrase or clause.
EXAMPLE:
Incorrect: In addition some creatures in the vast ocean is not yet discovered.
Correct: In addition, some creatures in the vast ocean is not yet discovered.
3. Are you using "it's" and "its" correctly?
The use of "it's" meant "it is" or "it has" while the use of "its" meant belonging.
EXAMPLE:
Incorrect: Its raining again outside.
Correct: It's raining again outside.
Incorrect: The bird is feeding it's chicks.
Correct: The bird is feeding its chicks.
