That Oliver Twist

Those conversant with the Oliver twist tale could already get an overview of what I'm trying to elaborate here, the I want more, not contented, greed and selfish personality people exhibit. People tend to validate this saying with words like "never give up", "push for more, you relent now", "To whom much is given much is expected, so acquire more" The sayings are true motivation but should be used in context. A power hungry man, who could go to any length to acquire more grounds, not caring if it's at the detriments of others is clearly greedy, and needs to know his deeds are wrong.

Leaving the politicians for a while, cause on this case scenario they mostly come to mind, we should also be aware that this lack of contentment occurs in most of individuals, it's a normal human need trying to be met, however people need to learn to stop. We never know how subtle and cunning this issue is, until it gets us into deep into us. Its quite understandable when we have very little to survive with, then we know you've got to try harder to get what you want, we can't be content while we are truly broke, especially when hungry, this issue of being contented should not be taught to an hungry man, you both might get into a fight or heated argument. However there are people with just enough yet greedy for much more. Greed in a sense of being selfish, hungered for more not withstanding how, what or who gets hurt in the process.

Sometimes it's just good that we would be okay with what we have, I understand how being too comfortable can lead to laziness, which leads to no drive in ambition or pursuit. However if we can be contented with things then we can think better and make better choices. Being contented doesn't mean we are not going to keep pushing, it simply helps us kill the rush, kill the urge to make it as quick as possible. The reason why someone can say "I would not do this no matter the amount they are willing to pay" it is because they are not greedy, greedy people are not contented.

So many people are victims of greed, it is quickly becoming a noticeable aspect of the country. It's almost like its a competition between everyone altogether, everyone is actively pushing to surpass the rest, the game is getting so heated that people don't care anymore of the means of getting. The oppression from all angles coming in strong. The guys and the ladies are not taking it lightly, greed to show off, greed to oppress, greed to get it all. Remember its a cunny attitude, we feel we are only trying to get a better life, but our true motive is off, likewise is our means of getting it off too.

So many have disrespected their parents out of discontent. They are grown and are seeing how much more there is in the outside, they know of other families who enjoy luxury and they can't help but want to run into it, moreover with such luxury they'll have all their desires settled, so back home its a constant pressure, nothing done seems okay, its just the start. Such discomfort isn't the one that leads to the right approach, such heists can only lead to taking the short cuts, remember the popular saying about taking a short cut to success, apparently there are no short cut to success.

Little children has one of the purest hearts, with maturity comes more thinking and desires, there are days we had little or nothing and still survived because we learnt the lifestyle of simplicity growing up. So when the time demands we can easily withdraw and mansage the available resources and she how best to make it multiply. However when discontentment has eaten deep and greed has taken a full hold of an individual, he or she can't phantom retreating to regroup, rather prefer to keep borrowing from a distant source just to keep up with appearances. Little do they know they are only drawing trouble close.

Today men take this issue seriously especially in the quest of a better partner, because they are aware that things can't be rosy every time and should a short lag in time surface when they have little or nothing to keep bringing to the table, at least they need to know their supposed partner would be more of support and joint help to help him navigate through the current challenge. Having a discontent wife, you must be expecting a continuous nagging until you can make the impossible happen. This has lead many discontent women to being unfaithful.

What do we have now, its not enough right, what is the plan to getting our needs met, what is our main motive of wanting more, isn't it really to oppress anyone, cause if the money quest were based on such, you can never be content. Everyday there is a reason to stand up and push harder, people are working and doing remarkable things, we must channel the urge the right way. Life isn't a competition with anyone, it's a neutral ground, rather the competition should be between you and your past. Know when to be contented, this helps us think well even in a world of constant competition.

Cutting across all ages, cutting across both genders, the matter of contentment should be accepted by all. If not greed would keep letting us make the wrong decision. Humans needs would always be insatiable, this we learnt in school, however the best possible approach is to know when you are okay at least and with that you can still make the right choice to be good and do the right things. Most of the world's problems especially that of politics is as a result of greed, imaging being paid well enough for your elected job, but you still steal more, that greed has made people lost all. Be content guys, this way we can keep our decision on check.
